Yes friend you are fully eligible to apply for the foreign service exam after completing MA from Mumbai university. To apply for the foreign Service exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission you should be graduated in any stream from recognized university. University should be recognized by the UGC and in case of open university it should be recognized by the DEC or IGNOU. Your age should be 21 to 30 years. You must be the citizen of India. You can apply for the Civil Service exam through UPSC official website in two modes: Online application form Offline application form

If you have done graduation from the university which is UGC recognized then you are eligible for the Indian Foreign Services.

Eligibility for IFS

>>Graduation from UGC recognized university

>>Age limit is 21-30 years

>>Age relaxation of 3 & 5 years is for OBC & SC/ST categories candidates respectively.

>>You must be Indian

Here is some tips and Instruction for UPSC Exam:


Yes, You can apply for IFS Exam, Because for UPSC Exam minimum education qualification is Graduation in any field from Recognized University.

Final Year Candidate can also apply from UPSC Exam, but candidate should verify before mains exam if he/she Clears prelims exam.

>> You have done B.A and it is valid for Indian Foreign Service.
>> Age limit is 21-30 years

>> You can give Following times Attempt according to Category:

General Category: 4 Attempts

OBC: 7 Attempts

PH: 7 Attempts

SC/ST: No Limits

----You must be passed a Bachelor degree form a Indian Recognized university. Appearing in final year candidates are also Eligible.

----There is no percentage requirement.

Age limits;-

21-30 years for General category

21-33 years for OBC category

21-35 years for SC/ST category

You ar eligible of giving the indian foreign services exam being a graduate from Mumbai open university, this is because for giving the upsc examination. It is compulsory for you to be a graduate from a recognized indian university, may be open or regular one and your age should not be less than 21 years
