The minimum educational qualifications required is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.The maximum no of attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. First of all, I would like to tell you that IAS examination is a civil services examination, which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year. Now, you are in first year of graduation, so, now, you are not eligible for IAS examination. First of all, you complete your graduation, then apply for IAS examination. The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Percentage criteria is not required. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. Your age should be in between 21-30 years and you should be a graduate from a recognized indian university in any stream. If you fulfill these requirements, then you can apply for the IAS exam. The pattern of the IAS Exam is such that it has three phases First, the prilims which is of objective type The second stage is the mains, which is of conventional type And the final step is the interview. If you clear the interview, then you will be able to become an IAS.

Indian citizenship is also compulsory. Your age should be in between 21-30 years for open category. Preparation: UPSC notification comes every year on their website. You have to Clear 3 stages for IAS. Prelims, mains and Interview. Material you have to buy from market. Few of preparation material is available on UPSCportal also. Books: Books list is given on UPSCportal website as well. as per your area of interest you can make choice.
