Hey

If yo want to become IAS officer then you must have only a graduation degree from any discipline from a recognized university.
So there is no specification required in graduate degree for IAS exam.
If you are interested in B.SC then you can do your graduation in it.
It is a great choice.
But there is no restriction about the degree for IAS exam.
For IAS exam you must be in between 21-30 years old.
Relaxation in age is given to the reserved candidates.

it is a good decision for you if you interest to do graduation in b.sc (bio informatics) that is your decision .
but if you do it that is a very good for you because for this you can eligible not only for ias but also eligible for ifs exam and many more exam.

yes you can choose any stream as your graduation and you should choose that stream which you feel is easy and interesting for you to study.

The abbreviation of IAS is Indian Administrative Services.


Let me tell you that for becoming an Indian Administrative Officer, firstly, you will have to crack the civil services exam.


Union Public Service Commission organizes every year civil services exam.


And, for becoming an Indian administrative Officer, you can finish your bachelor degree in any curriculum.


If, you want to finish your bachelor degree in B.Sc(Bio Informatics), then doesn't matter, you can do.


The educational qualifications regarding with Indian Administrative Services exam are below mentioned:-

In stead of bioinformatics i will suggest you to choose either chemistry, physics and mathematics. so you can opt for the same subject in CSAT and score better.

Bio informatics is also good but it has not any relation with UPSC subjects. so your graduation will not add any value to the preparation. you can select zoology, sociology and mathematics also.

Yes your decision is correct. opt for those subjects in which you have interest.

I am studying in class 11th . I want to become an IAS officer . so to become an IAS, graduation is important. i thought to do graduation in BSc bio informatics. because my subject of interest is bio . is my decison is right?????
