Civil Services exam conducted in three parts:

1. CSAT
2. Mains
3. Interview

Eligibility Criteria:

>> Graduation degree with any percentage.

Age Limit:

General: 21 years to 30 years
OBC: 21 years to 33 years
SC/ST: 21 years to 35 years

Limit Number Of Attempts:

>>General: 4 attempts
>>OBC: 7 attempts

• If you are interested to join IAS or IPS then you are required to apply for the Civil services examination conducted by UPSC.
• It requires you must have completed your graduation in any of the stream which should be from an recognised university.
• Passing marks in graduation would be enough for it as there is no minimum marks has been prescribed
• Age of the students who are applying for it should be in between 21 years to 30 years.
• The reserved category students and physically handicapped students are provided age relaxation.

Hi,

The age limit for the IAS exam for the candidates are below :

21-30 for general
21-33 for obc
21-35 for sc/st
21-40 for physically handicapped

Education Qualification.

Minimum graduation from any recognized university in any stream .
or
Final year student also eligible for the exam .

Number of Attempts are allowed:
4 for general cast
7 for obc cast
no limit for sc/st cast

Eligibility for IPS:

IPS exam stands for Indian police service which is conducted by UPSC. It is nice that you want to join IPS exam after Engineering degree.

You are eligible for IPS exam at age of 23 years.

IPS exam eligibility;-

~~You must be passed a bachelor degree from a Indian recognized university.

~~Your age should be between 21-30 years.

~~You must be Indian citizen.

Age relaxation;-

General-0 years age relaxation

obc 3 years age relaxation

sc/st 5 years age relaxation

There is 4 times number of attempts for General

7 times for obc category.There is no limit for Sc/st category.

You must be physical as well as mentally fit because IPS exam requires some specific physical standard.

IPS exam consist three stages;-

Preliminary exam
Mains exam
Personality test

For the post of IAS,IPS you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam every year.
For Civil Services exam you need graduation in an stream with any percentage.

Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Friend, please note that# IAS stands for Indian Administration Service and IPS stands for Indian Police Service.# Both the IAS Examination and IPS Examination comes under the Indian Civil Service Examination.# Indian Civil Service Examinations are conducted freely, fairly, smoothly & transparently by UPSC once in a year.# REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR BOTH IAS AND IPS EXAMINATION:= Any bachelor degree irrespective of stream or discipline.= Bachelor degree must be obtained from any recognised university.= No need of any fixed percentage marks. Candidate just need the passing marks.# As final year candidates in graduation can also apply.# There is a same age limit of 21-30 years set for both IAS and IPS Examination with the provision of age relaxation in upper age for specified reserved categories only.

The Required Qualification For IPS & IAS:

Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have posses a bachelor degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University .
The final year students also apply for the exam.

Age:
The candidate must have attained 21 year & must not have attained 30 year on 1st August of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed for certain reserved categories.
for OBC - 3 year
for SC/ST - 5 year
Physical Handicapped - 10 year
jammu & kashmir domiciles(1980-1989) - 5 year
special cases of defence service personnel - 3 year
special cases of ex service man up to 5 year age relaxation

these exam held by upsc evey year .
for this you should simply be graduate .
your age between 21 to 30 year and 4 chance for you if you belong to general category .
for obc your age between 21 to 30 year and 7 chance for you .
for sc/st your age between 21 to 35 and no limit.
and you should be indian than you may go for this .

The qualification which is required for applying in IAS/IPS exam
1)The candidates must have done graduation from any stream,any medium of education is applicable.
2)Age limit is 21 to 30 years for general candidates.
21 to 33 years for OBC(Other Backward Classes).
21 to 35 years for SC/ST.

3)No percentage required,the educational qualification is same for both IAS and IPS.

Firstly, IAS/IPS is not a entrance examination, but a competitive examination conducted by the UPSC every year. The essential qualification for the examination is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. The age limit for the examination is within 21-30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years and for SC/ST is 05 years, and for PH & EX. it is 10 years. There is only 04 attempts for General candidates, 07 for OBC and upto the last age limit for SC/ST candidates to appear the CSAT examination. If you want to apply fdor the IAS exam or IPS exam then you must have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognizeed university of India.

Your age must be in between 21-30 years and you must be Indian.

You will be provided the age relaxation of 3 year and 5 year if you belongs to the OBC or SC/ST category.

You must be physically as well as mentally fit.

For giving the IAS examination you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria That you should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized Indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. You will be having 4 attempts to give the examination.
This is the criteria for the general category. A relaxation of 3 years is given to the obc candidates while a relaxation of 5 years is given to the sc/st candidates.
The number of attempts for the obc candidates is 7 whereas there is no restrictions in number of attempts for the sc.st candidates
