UPSC conduct many types of civil service exams for different types of posts like IAS,IPS,IRS,IFS etc.

Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:- The candidate must possess a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

Age Limit:- For General category - minimum 21 year & maximum 30 year on 1st August of the year of examination.

The Upper age limit is relaxed for :
OBC - 3year
SC/ST - 5 year
The upper age limit is also relaxed for defense services personnel.

You can apply for the exam through online/off line.

if you have completed a graduation in any field from an ugc recognised university. to apply for the exam you can visit upsc.gov.in or you can get form from the head post office.

If you are pursuing final year of degree then also you are eligible and relaxation in upper age can be claimed by reserved category candidates and that will be provided as per government norms

Civil Service Examination is conduced by Union Public Service Commission One time in a year.

Age limits :-

The applicant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st august of the year . For ex :- this notification , the applicant must have been born not earlier than 2nd August , 1982 and not later 1st August , 1991 . Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories.

Here is the detailed information::

The candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university. Even final year pursuing graduates can apply.

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:

Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
State of Jammu & Kashmir : upto a maximum of five years.
Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years

No of attempts allowed:

You can give the exam only you should fulfill the below criteria .
-> you complete your graduation from any recognized university in any stream .
-> your age should be 21-30 for general cast , 3 years relaxion for obc cast , 5 years relaxion for sc/st cast , 10 years relaxion for physically handicapped .

If you fulfill the above criteria then and then you are eligible for giving the exam .

The exam consist three parts .
preliminary exam
main exam
interview .

But there are some limit for giving the exam like
A general cast candidate can give the exam maximum 4 times
A obc cast candidate can give the exam maximum 7 times
For sc/st there are no limit , they can give the exam as many times as possible .

So start the preparation for the exam and give it .

Firstly, you cant apply for this year Civil services examination because the last date of apply for this examination was already Over. So if you have already completed your Graduate degree course or Pursuing your final year degree course then you have missed the chance to appeared for this year examination. The Preliminary examination will be held soon on 20/May/2012.

This examination is Conducted in 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination.

Firstly, you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and there are 2 papers in Preliminary examination and those who cracked this examination are eligible for Main examination. Main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Optional Subjects on the basis of your Graduation.

Age Eligibility :

~~ To apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years.

~~ Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

~~ The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

Number of Attempts:
----------------------

~~ For General candidates: 4 Attempts
~~ For OBC Candidates: 7 Attempts
~~ For SC/ST: No Limits

The age limit for sitting in Indian Civil Services Exam is between: 21 and 30 years.

For every year the age is counted on first of August of exam year.

The upper age limit for reserved classes is reserved.

For Other BackWard Class it is exted 3 more years and becomes 21-33 years.

For SC/ST: 5 years and becomes 21-35 years.

* Provided that some of reserved and class of categories can claim age relaxation.

* You can apply for CSE online on www.upsc.nic.in

* You can pay fees for examination either by bank challan or online through payment gateway.

Civil service examination is conducted by UPSC in every year

*******ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA*******

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:--------

The candidates must be a graduate from any recognized university or organization in any stream.The students who are giving or appearing final year exam can also appear in this examination.

************AGE LIMIT************

The age of the candidates must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing the examination.

The age relaxation is also applicable as per government rule.

THE AGE RELA​XATION FOR THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

For OBC candidates the age relaxation is 3 years.
i.e the age must be between 21 to 33 years

For SC/ST candidates the age relaxation is 5 years
i.e the age must be between 21 to 35 years

For PD candidates the age relaxation is 10 years
i.e the age must be between 21 to 40 years.

For Ex-Serviceman the age relaxation is 5 years
i.e the age must be between 21 to 35 years.

--Candidates should buy the application form only from a post office. They should clearly fill in all the required columns.
--The 8 digit bar code number should be noted down separately by the candidate for future reference.
--They should not use a photo copy of the form, it will not be accepted.
--Candidates should not enclose copy of their certificates along with the form.
--They should send it only with the acknowledgment card.
--Candidates should also try to send the filled application form in advance. So that it would be delivered within the time limit.

Civil Service Examination is conduced by Union Public Service Commission One time in a year.

Age limits :-

The applicant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st august of the year . For ex :- this notification , the applicant must have been born not earlier than 2nd August , 1982 and not later 1st August , 1991 . Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories.

Five year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes , Three year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Other Backward Caste , Five year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Ex-servicemen candidates.

Qualification :-

The applicant must be completed bachelor's degree with any desire subject or equivalent qualification and there is no minimum marks required for this examination.Any eligible to candidate can apply for this examination.There is no specific special subjects for this examination any graduate candidate can apply.Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course can apply for Civil Service examination.
