Firstly, you cant apply for this year Civil services examination because the last date of apply for this examination was already Over. So if you have already completed your Graduate degree course or Pursuing your final year degree course then you have missed the chance to appeared for this year examination. The Preliminary examination will be held soon on 20/May/2012.
This examination is Conducted in 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination.
Firstly, you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and there are 2 papers in Preliminary examination and those who cracked this examination are eligible for Main examination. Main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Optional Subjects on the basis of your Graduation.

Requirements for civil services exam-
Age Limit-
General candidate must be in 21-30.OBC candidate must be in 21-33.SC/ST candidate must be in 21-35 year.3 year age relaxation for OBC candidate and 5 year age relaxation for SC/ST candidate.
Qualification-
Candidate must be passed his/her graduation course and also which candidate is in final year of his/her graduation also apply for Civil services exam.
Nationality-
Candidate must be Indian civilization.

Civil Service Examination is conduced by Union Public Service Commission One time in a year.
Age limits :-
The applicant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st august of the year . For ex :- this notification , the applicant must have been born not earlier than 2nd August , 1982 and not later 1st August , 1991 . Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories.
Five year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes , Three year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Other Backward Caste , Five year relaxation if the applicant belongs to Ex-servicemen candidates.
Qualification :-
The applicant must be completed bachelor's degree with any desire subject or equivalent qualification and there is no minimum marks required for this examination.Any eligible to candidate can apply for this examination.There is no specific special subjects for this examination any graduate candidate can apply.Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course can apply for Civil Service examination.
Attempts :-
Four attempts if the applicant belongs to General candidate , Seven attempts if the applicant belongs to OBC candidate and No limits for SC/ST candidat
Dear you should be graduate from a recognized university and your age should be between 21-30 years to apply for civil service preliminary examination
If you are pursuing final year of degree then also you are eligible and relaxation in upper age can be claimed by reserved category candidates and that will be provided as per government norms
5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates and 9 years in case of Widow, Divorced and Separated female candidates
How to Apply for this exam : Before applying for any UPSC exam you should verify it that dates of online application are open means online registration for examination should be opened on the official website of UPSC board that is www.upsc.gov.in and you are completely eligible to apply for that exam then :
You should visit at above mentioned website and click at - UPSC Online Applications and you will see a new page where you have to click at - Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC and then you will see a new window where you need to click at - Part I registration and then a new application form will be opened :
Fill the complete application form by providing your all accurate details and if you belongs to general or OBC category then you will have to pay the fee for examination and you may choose any mode of payment that is online or offline and you may choose that during to fill online application then submit Part I registration
After submitting part I registration details, you will get a registration number that will be unique and you should note that and keep safe and secure then click at part II registration and enter your registration number and date of birth and click at continue
Upload your recent passport size photo and signature in scanned image according to the size required in application form and then submit your form and print instantly

the age limit for ias examination is 21 to 30 years for general and a relaxation of 3,5,10 years for obc,sc/st,pd category.
if you have completed a graduation in any field from an ugc recognised university. to apply for the exam you can visit upsc.gov.in or you can get form from the head post office.
