This IPS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission

It comes under the Civil services India

So to get in to this you must Write the C.S.A.T exam dear Friend ..

You must prepare well for the Civil Services Aptitude Test


you must have a minimum of GRADUATION ...

As you have the B.E Engineering .. you no need to worry

You must be Physically good and Mentally Well

if you really want to be IPS officer then my suggestion is that it is very good and responsible job.
If you really want to be part of that then you can apply after your graduation .
First you should to complete your graduation with min. 54% marks then you can apply for this exam.
Then you can apply for this exam .
Also you can apply after your engineering too.
SO don't worry and get prepare for this exam.

Dear Friend,

Yes, you can apply for civil services examination after engineering.

IPS comes under civil services, For that you give civil services examination.

Engineering is a graduation degree course and after graduation every candidate can apply for civil services examination.

But it is also required that candidate must be under 21-30 years.

If candidate comes under BC category then has 3 years age relaxation, If comes under SC/ST category then has 5 years age relaxation and if candidate comes under Physically handicapped then has 10 years of age relaxation.

yes,you are eligible to apply for IPS( indian police service) exam after Engineering.
Educational qualification required for IPS:
1.The candidate must have posses a Bachelor degree in any dicipline from any recognized Indian University or an equivalent qualification.
2.Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the preliminary exam taken by every year by UPSC.
so,If you are a Engineering degree holder , then you can apply for IPS exam.

to apply for the upsc civil services IPS examination you need to have graduation or engineering degree in any stream from a recognized university under UGC.

you can apply for this exam in the final year of your course .

and if you are an sc/st or an OBC aspirant then you will get an age relaxation also.

age relaxation of 3 years if OBC.

first of all you have to completed your graduation in any stream

with any aggregate from any university thats up to you

so you can absolutely eligible to write any upsc exam

coming to age limit you must have age between 21 to 30 years

age relaxation also provided for only reservation candidates

those who have occupied bc's and sc's is 3 and 5 years respectively

in upsc you should write any exam like CDS,IAS,IPS,IFS and etc

you can also apply for any upsc exam being a 4th year student

so first of all complete your degree and concentrate on your studies

then you may go for apply any thing

• The basic qualification required for joining Indian police service is that you should satisfy academic requirement in addition to that you need to have certain physical fitness too.

• The academic requirement required is bachelor degree it could be either a three year course or a four year course. So as a engineer you are eligible for it

• The minimum age required for applying is 21 . So you can apply in your final year also if you are satisfied the age criteria.

• The selection procedure for the service is written exam which includes aptitude exam and main exam followed by personnel interview. After that you need to satisfy the physical requirement.

• the various requirement would be to relay, high jump, long jump, etc you need to have certain height and weight requirement too.

After completion of your Engineering degree , You are applicable for IPS exam.But this engineering course must be equivalent to Graduation degree.Because Diploma degree also consider as a engineering degree bur Diploma candidate are not applicable for IPS Exam.

Hi,

First, you need to know what is UPSC.

UPSC is Union Public Service Commission which conducts many exams in which Civil Service Exam(CSE).

CSE has a misnomer as 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.

So you need to write the CSE to be an IPS officer.

The qualification of CSE is graduation. So you can write it after your graduation.

To become an IPS Officer you will have to qualify this Exam with a good rank.

The complete Eligibility criteria for this Exam is:
