See,the age limit specified for this examination is 21 - 30 years as on 1st August of the year of Exam. Certain categories of candidates including Departmental candidates as specified in the Commission�s Notice are also eligible for age relaxation.
For the students of SC/ST and OBC category,the upper age limit has been raised by 5 years.

As your D.O.B is 17th June,it means that you'll be 21 yrs by 1st August 2012.
Hence you have just manage to cross that age eligibility criteria!

So start preparing for the exam and best of luck for the exam!

You can apply for IES exams only if you have the eligibility criteria fulfilled as:-

You need to have completed the graduation from an recognised university.
You must be the citizen Of India.
The age limit for this examination is from 21 years to 30 years.
The Age relaxations of three years is given to the OBC category students.
The Age relaxations of five years is provided to the St/Sc category students.

If you have these criteria fulfilled then you can apply for a job in IES.

• No you are eligibile to appear in the Indian engineering services (IES) examination next year i.e 2013.
• As per the age limit stated for it by the UPSC is 21 years to 30 years as on 1st january of the year of examination.
• Since on 1st january 2013, you haven't complete the age of minimum limit of 21 years, so you are not eligible for the examination.
• However in the year 2014, you can appear in the IES examination if you satisfy the other condition stated for it.

By the age of 21 years you are not eligible for IES-2012.
You are eligible to apply next year-2013 onwards.
Because you have to 21 years of age till 1st January of 2012 only for IES-2012.
But also required Graduation in B.Tech with Mechanical or Electrical or Civil or Electronics engineering.

Age limits are 21 to 30 years(upper age relaxation applicable as +3 years for OBC,+5 years for SC/ST).

No, you're Not eligible for this year IES Examination as a result of you've got not fulfill the age demand. to use for Indian Engineering Services, you've got to finish your Engineering graduate degree course from a recognized University and you have earned the age of twenty one years and must not have earned the age of thirty years on the Ist January, 2012 i.e. he/she should are born not ahead of 2d January, 1982 and not later than first January, 1991.

​No my friend , you are not eligible for the IES-2012 exam because you don't fulfill the age criteria as mentioned by UPSC .

The criteria for the IES-2012 exam is below :
=> one should complete the B.E. / B.Tech from any recognized university .
or
=> A final year candidate also eligible for the exam but before the main exam one have to complete the graduation .

=> One age should be between 21-30 at the time of exam for general cast , 3 years relaxation for obc cast , 5 years relaxation for sc/st cast , 10 years relaxation for physically handicapped .

=> Now as your birthdate is 17june 1991 so that at the notification of the exam your age is 20 so that as per the above criteria you are not eligible for the exam .

=> You have to wait one more year for giving the exam till you prepare for the exam .

The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for the unreserved category.
The qualification is required for the exam the graduation in engineering stream from the approved university. There are four category of the ies exam
Category I�Civil Engineering.
Category II�Mechanical Engineering.
Category III�Electrical Engineering.
Category IV�Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Number of the attemption for the general category is the 4 times .
OBC Category is the age relaxation for the 3 years and attempt of the exam is the 7times.

-Sorry but you are not eligible to appear for the IES Exams conducted by the UPSC in this year.
-In order to apply for the IES exams,one must be of 21-30 years of age,as on the 1st of January,of the year the exam is being conducted.
-As you have not completed 21 years of age by now,you are not eligible to appear for the same.
-But you can surely keep preparing for the exams and appear for it from next year onwards.

No, You are Not eligible for this year IES Examination because you have not fulfill the age requirement. To apply for Indian Engineering Services, you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course from a recognised University and you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the Ist January, 2012 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1982 and not later than 1st January, 1991.

So, Please apply for Next year IES Examination, till then keep practice for the examination as per the pattern.

To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course in these disciplines :

~~ Electronics & Communications Engineering
~~ Civil Engineering
~~ Mechanical Engineering.

If you have completed your Engineering degree course in these Disciplines then you are eligible for IES Examination.

For this year IES Examination will be held soon on 15/June/2012.

The last date of apply for this examination is 09/April/2012. But you are not eligible this time, so please apply for this examination next year.

The selection is based on Written test and Personality test.

for IES 2012 age required is that the candidate should be 21 years old on 1st jan 2012 and as you date of birth is 17 june 1991 so your age on 1st jan 2012 is not 21 years its 20 years and few months so your age is not appropriate to apply for IES 2012 but don't worry whenever next exam of IES will held than surly you can apply because next time your age will be sufficient to apply for the post......sory for IES 2012 but all the very best for next IES exam good luck

No, you are not eligble to give the exam.
you will be eligible to give the exam only when u will belongs to OBC/SC/ST/PWD.

Hello,
Yes, you are fully eligible for appearing in Engineering Services Examination i.e. IES-2012. A candidate should be more than 21 years for appearing this examination. For IES-2012 you must 21 years age on 1 August 2012 i.e. 21 years age on 1 August of Year of Examination i.e. your age should be between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

yes,you are eligible to appear in the exam ,it is required to be 21 years before 1st august.
