    yes, being a engineering graduate you can apply for IFS exam. because For IFS you must hold a Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.Final year year students can also apply for the exam.

    Scheme of Examination:

    A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION :

    The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each.


    B. MAIN EXAMINATION :

    The written examination consisting of the following papers:-

    Paper I- General English 300 Marks
    Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks
    Papers III, IV, V and VI.-Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional
    subjects set out in para 2 below. Each subject will have two papers.-:-200 marks for
    each paper.

    (C) Interview for Personality Test

    Maximum Marks : 300


    for IFS your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is also relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.

    there are also limit of number of attempts:

    >>4 for general category
    >>7 for OBC category
    >>no limit for SC/St category
