    is engineering eligible for INDIAN FOREST SERVICE exam
    is engineering student can be eligible for INDIAN FOREST SERVICE exam? What are the other eligibility criteria for IFS?please give information in details. Also give detail for IAS exam.

    yes, being a engineering graduate you can apply for IFS exam. because For IFS you must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.Final year year students can also apply for the exam.

    Scheme of Examination:

    A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION :

    The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each.


    B. MAIN EXAMINATION :

    The written examination consisting of the following papers:-

    Paper I- General English 300 Marks
    Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks
    Papers III, IV, V and VI.-Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional
    subjects set out in para 2 below. Each subject will have two papers.-:-200 marks for
    each paper.

    (C) Interview for Personality Test

    Maximum Marks : 300


    for IFS your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is also relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.

    there are also limit of number of attempts:

    >>4 for general category
    >>7 for OBC category
    >>no limit for SC/St category
