to become an IAS officer or collector you have to write Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. for Civil Services exam you need graduation degree or final year students can also apply for the exam.

Civil Services conducted in three parts:
>>Prelims
>>Mains
>>Interview

you have to clear all the exams.

for Civil Services your age must be within 21 years to 30 years. there is also applicable relaxation in upper age limit of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.

there is also limit in number of attempts of 4 for general category and 5 for OBC category and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/ST aspirants.

for preparation first get the syllabus for Civil Services exam. prepare according to the syllabus and maintain your self calm and cool. General study is quite important from the exam point of view. concentrate on basic concepts and manage your time table. you also need to solve previous year papers. also improve English, Gk and GS.

You want to become a Collector. So I would like to tell you that for this you will need to appear for an exam known as Civil services exam.

This exam is for IAS, IFS, IPS.

You can become a collector through IAS but the exam is same for all IAS, IPS, IFS.

So start preparing for Civil Services Exam because this will only decide your future.

So you need to score very high marks in this exam to get into IAS because merit list plays a high role in this exam.

If you score highest then only yow will get into IAS.

Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC.

It is conducted once in a year.

The exam consists of stages:-

1. Prelims

2. Mains

3. Interview

Prelims is known as CSAT which consists of 2 sections:

General Aptitude

General Studies

After you qualify in this exam you will have to give mains exam and then Interview.

After achieving success in those exams, will lead you to a collector.

Age : 21 to 30 yrs
