for Civil Services your age must be within 21 years to 30 years. there is also applicable relaxation in upper age limit of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.
there is also limit in number of attempts of 4 for general category and 5 for OBC category and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/ST aspirants.
for preparation first get the syllabus for Civil Services exam. prepare according to the syllabus and maintain your self calm and cool. General study is quite important from the exam point of view. concentrate on basic concepts and manage your time table. you also need to solve previous year papers. also improve English, Gk and GS.
