minimum educational qualification for civil services exams : Graduate in any discipline from any recognised university in India.
Yes you can take PCMB, if you want to became IAS officer. Including both i.e. the maths and the Biology, will automatically increase your domains.

yes, you can choose any subject or stream to become IAS officer.

qualification for IAS exam:

1. candidate should have graduate degree

2. age limit: 21 - 30 years.

3. candidate is citizen of India.

Dear friend,

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.

You can go in IAS through Civil Services Exam.

See friend, this exam is conducted by UPSC and UPSC has some norms for this exam.

And according to that you do not any particular stream to apply for the exam.

So if you talk about either 12th class or graduation It all depends on you when it comes to choose the subjects as It will be good If you take subjects combination according to your interest.

So If you think you can handle PCMB in your class 12th and take it to your graduation then take it otherwise you can change it in your graduation.

Value of deep study of any subject would give you benefit only in your optional otherwise all subjects coming in exam is same for everyone.

And its also not necessary that you decide your subjects according to optionals.

If you can handle PCMB combination in then only take it.

Because you can become IAS officer by any subjects combination.

It is very simple to become an IAS officer you can write UPSC entrance examination.This IAS exam.is conducted by UPSC 2 times in a year.This is one of the Civil Services Exam.To get the IAS eligibility no need to be a PCMB student.

IAS ELIGIBILITY:-

**A Graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University in any Discipline can
write IAS entrance examination.

**AGE: General: 21-30 years, OBC: 21-33 years. S/C S/T: 21-35 years. PWD: 21-40 years.

** Attempts: GEN: 4 attempts. OBC: 7 attempts. S/C S/T: No limit.

You can take any stream if you want to be a Civil Service Officer -IAS,IFS,IRS etc.Your stream of graduation does not matters.And also in the exam of Civil services,only one paper will be of your choice and the rest will be from different fields of education and general awareness so any particular stream does not get benefit.You can take whichever stream in 12th and any subject of your choice in Graduation.
