Eligibility criteria for IAS exams is: 1.Graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university. 2.Final year appearing students can also apply for the upsc exam. 3.Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 4.OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively. Selection procedure for IAS:- To be an IAS officer you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is further consist two parts namely: 1.Preliminary Examination 2.Main Examination after this applicant has to go through an interview To know more about IAS you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in

Dear Aspirant, -If you want to relish your dreams of becoming an IAS,you will have to qualify the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS conducted by the UPSC. --The Civil Service exams are conducted annually.The exams are conducted in three legs,namely- *The Preliminary Exams. *The Mains Exams. *The Interviews. You will have to clear the preceding phase,to proceed to the next. -The eligibility requirements to appear for this exams are mentioned below- :: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :: -You must be a citizen of India, or,You must be a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India,before 1962. -You must be 21 to 30 years of age. Relaxations-5 years for SC/ST and ex- servicemen and 3 years for OBC candidates. -You must be a Graduate in any subject or stream from a recognized university. Eligibility: -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute. -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year. -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage. -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years. -You must be a citizen of India. The complete selection procedure which you have to undergo to become an IAS Officer is by -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview. Here is the eligibility criteria that you need to possess to become eligible for CSAT Exam. Academic Qualification :- -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. -Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible to take up this exam. Age criteria :- -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam. -There is a relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. -5 years of relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of SC/ST category.
