    what is eligibility criteria please tell me detail about ias and also tell me the selection procedure in this exam?

    21 to 30 as on 01/07/2012(Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST,OBC,and other categories.i.e maximum 5 to 10 years for them. )

    ********Educational Qualification***********

    Must have a Bachelors degree from any recognized university or organization with atleast one of the subject namely animal husbandry and veterinary science ,Botany,chemistry,zoology,geology,mathematics,physics,or a bachelors degree of agriculture ,forestry or in engineering,or an equivalent qualification.

    Hello Friend!

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. To become IAS, you need to crack Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC once in a year.


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for IAS:
    • You should have completed Graduation degree in any discipline from recognized University.
    • You can also apply for IAS while in final year of Graduation course.
    • Your Age should be in between 21 to 33 years for General category, 21 to 35 for OBC, 21 to 35 for SC/ST.
    • You must be an Indian citizen.
    Selection procedure for IAS:-

    To become an IAS you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is divided into 2- stages..

    1.Preliminary Examination

    2.Main Examination

    IAS is a CIVIL SERVICES EXAM conducted by UPSC every year.

    Eligibility:
    -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute.
    -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year.
    -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage.
    -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years.
    -You must be a citizen of India.

    Civil Service Examination has three stages

    1st Stage: Preliminary Exam

    2nd Stage: Main Examination

    3rd(Final Stage): Interview

    Eligibility criteria for IAS exams is:
    1.Graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university.
    2.Final year appearing students can also apply for the upsc exam.
    3.Age limit is 21 to 30 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.

    Selection procedure for IAS:-

    To be an IAS officer you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is further consist two parts namely:

    1.Preliminary Examination
    2.Main Examination
    after this applicant has to go through an interview

    IAS: Stands for Indian Administrative Officer. UPSC will hold the IAS exam once a year.

    The minimum eligibility for IAS is you must complete the graduation from any recognized university.

    And your age should in between 21-30 years.The upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

    You must be citizen from India.

    The selection procedure should consist of 2 sessions.

    written exam

    Interview.

    The written exam should consist of 2 sessions namely preliminary examination and main examination.
    First you have to complete the preliminary examination.After that you can go for Main examination.Then finally you can go for Interview....
