Re: What are the required qualifications and qualities to become IPS officer? Dear friend, IPS STANDS FOR INDIAN POLICE OFFICER. The exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. Its the dream of most of the candidates to become an IPS Officer. To become an IPS officer you are required to appear for an exam known as Civil Services Examination. The exam is conducted in various stages: WRITTEN EXAM MAINS EXAM INTERVIEW Eligibility Criteria to become an IPS Officer:- You must be a Graduate passed from a recognized University. Last year Candidates are also eligible to sit for the exam. All stream candidates are eligible to appear for the exam. No specific percentage is required for the exam. If you have passed in your exam then It will do. Age limit for the exam:- General= 21 to 30 yrs OBC- 21 to 33 yrs SC/ST- 21 to 35 yrs PH- 21 to 40 yrs Number of attempts:- General- 4 attempts OBC- 7 attempts SC/ST- unlimited no. of attempts

Candidate must have attained minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general category. There is upper age relaxation as follows for reserved category candidates. The maximum age limit for OBC Category is 33 years. The maximum age limit for SC/ST Category is 35 years. Required physical standards are as follows: Examination scheme: Prelims Mains followed by Interview. Number of attempts allowed: 4 attempts for general category 7 attempts for OBC Category No restriction for SC/ST Category.

Candidates complete any one bachelor degree on recognized university. age between on 21-----30 years. 4 attempts are allowed. height required on 170cm on male candidates, 165 cm on SC/ST male candidates. 155 cm on Female candidates, 152.5 cm on female SC/ST candidates. chest are 85 cm with expansion 5 cm. This examination are 4 stages. @ preliminary @ Main Exam @ Interview @ Physical fit.

Dear friend for apply IPS officer exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Indian Police Services exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam. The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) as a common examination for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service Eligibility criteria:- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Number of Attempts:- General category candidates - 4 time OBC category Candidates - 7 time SC/ST category candidates - No limit. And you should be 21 or less than 35 before or on Aug 1st for general and OC category.... And refer further age limit for SC/ST in upsc official website.... Like qualities if you take nothing much you should have the cause to become an civil servant.. And cause is only to serve the country...

Hello friend, I feel very good when I heard that our young generation have feelings to serve the nation , because there is a n urgent need of talented and educated people on the top of our govt. systems to make the right decision in development of our country and to maintain the law and order. IPS stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVICES and an IPS officer have duty to maintain law and order in the particular area. if you want to fulfill your dream to become IPS than you have to give civil services examination. and to become eligible for civil services examination you must satisfy the criteria given below. **Eligibility criteria:- 1. you must have the Indian citizenship. 2. you must have a degree of graduation from a govt recognized university. **Age criteria:- * the age criteria for general category is between 21 and 30. * the age criteria for obc category is between 21 and 33. * the age criteria for sc/st category is between 21 and 35. * an age relaxation are also provided for PWD and ex-servicemen candidates of 10 and 5 years respectively. but always remember that you should apply for the examination only when you have 100% confidence then you are fully prepared for the examination of civil services because you have not so many chances to fulfill your dream because there is an restriction of attempts according to your category, and yes if you are belonging from general category than you have to be more careful about this, why?? the answer of this question is here under:- * there are only 4 attempts are allowed to general category. * there are 7 attempts allowed to obc. * and no any limit of attempts for sc/st. so first be prepared for the examination and then try to sit in the examination with full confidence. Yes,After completion of B.Com course you are eligible to apply for the post of Indian Police Service (I.P.S). Because Gradation in any discipline from recognized university can apply. Even in Final year of Graduation also eligible. The minimum age required to apply is 21 years to 30 years (+3 years for OBC,+5 years to SC/ST). Notification will be released in the month of January/February of every year.
