    Donot worry ,you are eligible for the IES exam organised by UPSC as civil engineer.

    Civil engineering is one of the best trade in context of engineering.In Indian engineering services,civil engineers have an egde your others because there is very less competition in this trade as respect to other trades.

    IES is the Indian engineeirng services.




    Syllabus for civil engineers in IES:



    Eligibility criteria:

    >>B.tech/B.e in any of the given trades:

    Civil engineeirng

    Mechanical engineering

    Electrical engineering

    Electronics and communication.


    >>your age should be between 21-30 years.there is relaxation of 3 years for obc and 5 years for SC/st.

    >>In case of no of attempts for general it is 4,for obc it is 7 and for sc/st is no limit.

    Hi Aspirant,

    Of course friend you can appear in IES( Indian Engineering Service exam) as civil engineer.

    UPSC organizes the IES exam every year for the post of assistant executive engineer.

    You should only satisfied following criteria of UPSC to take participate in IES exam


    You must have technical degree like BE, B. Tech from recognized university or its equivalent.

    You should have technical degree from following stream

    Civil

    Mechanical

    Electrical

    Electronics and Telecommunication

    Age should be 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation for SC + 5 years and OBC + 3 years and PH + 10 years

    You must be Indian.


    Exam pattern

    Paper I Objective ( 600 marks)

    Paper II Conventional (400 marks)


    You can apply for UPSC exam through Online and offline application as per your convenience

    yes dear u r eligible for IES exam
    ies is engineer service exam and u can compelete ur engg. in civil branch and
    Must be an Indian Citizen.

    Both Male & Female are eligible to apply for this Exam.

    Must have Age between 21 to 33 years for General category, 21 to 35 for OBC & 21 to 35 for SC/ST.

    Hi friend,





    Well, as per mine suggestion is concerned, i guess no.

    Since only Core trades of Engineering are allowed for IES.
    Those are :

    >> Civil

    >> Electrical

    >> Mechanical


    No Variations are allowed except for Electrical one, since EEE are also allowed
