Well for the excise job you have

To write the ssc common graduate level exam

As ssc is conducting the exam for the excise

Qualification Required for the exam:

>> The candidate should be pass in the degree

>> The candidate either pass in any equivalent degree

>> The Candidate of the final year can also apply

Age Limits :

>> The Age of the candidate should be 18 to 27

>> The age limit for the obc 18 to 30

>> The age limit for the sc,st 18 to 32

Attempts :

>> Their is no limit

Citizen:

>> India

UPSC conduct the Civil Services Exam for the post of Customs and Excise officer.

For Civil Services minimum educational qualification is graduation.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services:

1. Graduation in any discipline

2. Age Limit:

• General: 21 to 30 years
• OBC: 21 to 33 years
• SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

you can appear in either of the 2 examinations
1) civil service examination conducted by UPSC
if you clear this examination you can get Indian customs and excise services officer post, the highest post by recruitment in customs and excise( Group A)
2) combined graduate level exam conducted by SSC
you can get posts like Inspector in central Excise or preventive officer in customs (group C)
civil service exams will conducted in 3 stages- preliminary(objective type) , mains (essay type) and Interview
The preliminary exam is usually conducted in may month.

Combined graduate level exam is conducted in 3 stages- tier 1( objective type) tier 2(objective type) and Interview

THe minimum educational qualification for both the exams is a bachelor's degree
