IAS examination is a civil services examination, which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year. The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Percentage criteria is not required. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC, 5 yrs for SC/ST and 10 yrs for PWD contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. For giving this exam, the eligibility is that you need to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. There is a relaxation of 3 and 5 years given to the obc and the sc/st candidates respectively.

The eligibility criteria for the exam is below : -> one should done their graduation from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks for general cast , 55% for other cast . -> A final year student can also eligible for applying the exam . -> age limit is 21-30 for general cast , 3 years relaxion for obc , 5 years relaxion for sc/st/ex-serviceman / physically handicapped . -> maximum 4 attempts are allowed for the general cast , 7 for obc cast and no limit for the no of attempts for the sc/st cast . Dear pal, IAS refers to the Indian Administrative service who are in charge of the various public sector corporations. All the department in a country is headed by minister which in turn is taken care by the IAS officers. There are various posts available the higher post which a IAS officer can get is chief secretary of a state. Other posts include collector, divisional officer, developmental officer etc. Officers are appointed by the central government in the ratio of one outside state aspirant to two insider . So that more preference is given to the aspirant belonging to a particular state. The exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission which is in charge of filling up the various vacancies available in the central governmment. The eligibility criteria for that being bachelor degree from any discipline and also the aspirant must have completed 21 years of age.

The Indian Administrative Service (abbreviated as IAS) is the administrative civil service of theGovernment of India. It is one of the three All India Services. The officers of the IAS play a major role in managing the bureaucracy of both the Union Government and the State governments, with its members holding strategic posts across the country. The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Repeated attempts are allowed up to four times for General Merit candidates, seven times for OBC candidates. There is no bar on the number of attempts for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit to attempt the examination is 35 for SC/ST and 30 years for the General Merit Candidate. Eligibility of the candidate for the exam: A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educatsional institutions .Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qualify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination. If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC. Application forms will come out in the month of January. According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. Once in a year this type of exam will be conducted. Any degree from any recognized university by UGC is the Educational qualification of this exam. It will be conducted in three parts. First one is premilinary exam, second one is Main exam and another one is personal interview

IAS(Indian Administrative Service) or UPSC exam is the most prestigious and most difficult exam in our country.The exam is conducted by central Government through out the country.Preliminary exam is held in one day usually in the month of May or June.And if selected candidates are allowed to appear for mains exam usually held in october. Eligibility criteria 1) Age between 21 yrs to 30 yrs[relaxation of age limit in case of SC,ST,OBC] 2) Candidate should graduate from a Government recognized university.
