    What is an IAS exam? Who conducts this exam and What is its eligibility criteria?

    I am a new comer who wants to know about the IAS exam .I don't know what is it ,who conducts it and when .Please provide detailed information

    IAS stands for indian administrative services this exam is given if you wanna have an administrative job in the government like collector of a district, secretary of a department.

    eligibility criteria:
    age limit: 21 to 30 years
    Bachelorís degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification

    IAS stands for indian administrative services.IAS is a royal services for citizen of india.This paper was conducted by UPSC.The minimum qualification for this examination will be a graduates in any stream.

    Indian administrative services(IAS) is conducted by UPSC( UNION PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION).The examination has three stages i.e.,
    (1) Civil Services Preliminary Examinations (CSP) - normally conducted during the second half of May.
    (2) Civil Services (Main) Examinations conducted during the month of October/November. Here, those who are selected in the preliminary examination only are eligible to appear.
    (3) Those who are selected in the main examination will be eligible to appear before the Interview Board at New Delhi.

    Eligibility Criteria: should possess a graduation degree with minimum 60% percentage and minimum of 21 years age.

    The number of attempts allowed is 4 for general candidates.

    Hello,
    IAS examination meaning Indian Administrative Services. If you crack IAS exam then you will be posted on Deputy Collector or DM of a district. You will apply online for this exam. For more details you should click www.upsc.gov.in

    This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC.

    If you are Graduate or appearing in graduation final year exam then you are fully eligible for this exam. If you have B.tech. degree then you can go to the Railway or other Central Engineering job in that case you have to crack IES exam.

    You can give this exam if your age is between 21 and 30 years on 1 August of Exam year.

    it is a civil services exam.. if anyone clear the exam they will be recruited in power position like district collector , passport officer, election commissioner,etc.. upsc in Delhi an autonomic board will conduct the exam every year.... an under graduate in any discipline can apply for this exam...

    its the most privelged examination in our country..through it you get posted to very reputed positins as beureucrates.upsc conducts this exam every year...a notification is published in newspaper in dec.or jan...then a preliminary exam is conducteed in around may....the onez who get selected from there write their mains...and in the end final interview...

    IAS is one of the most valuable and toughest exam in India. It stands for Indian Administrative Services. Every year UPSC conducts an exam for civil services for the recruitment of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. For attempting the exam just bachelor's degree is required. It comprises in 3 stages: Preliminary exam, Main exam and Interview. Preliminary exam is held in April or May every year and main in conducted in september or october.

    IAS(Indian Administrative Service) or UPSC exam is the most prestigious and most difficult exam in our country.The exam is conducted by central Government through out the country.Preliminary exam is held in one day usually in the month of May or June.And if selected candidates are allowed to appear for mains exam usually held in october.
    Eligibility criteria 1) Age between 21 yrs to 30 yrs[relaxation of age limit in case of SC,ST,OBC]
    2) Candidate should graduate from a Government recognized university.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC.
    The eligibility criteria for IAS examination (better known as Civil Services Examination) as follows;
    Age Limit:
    21-30 years(GEN)
    21-33 years(OBC)
    21-35 years(SC/ST/PD)

    Educational Qualification:
    One is required to have a graduation degree(or equivalent) in any stream from a
    Govt. of Indian recognized university
    (governmental or private college which is approved by UGC or AICTE or any other
    governmental organization).

    The pattern of Examination is as follow;
    1. Civil Services Preliminary Exam(Objective), which is now known as CSAT.
    This paper is same for candidates of all stream. A sample paper of CSAT
    (Source: UPSC) is attached with this message.
    2. Civil Services Main Exam and Interview.
    Candidates who qualify Prelims are called for MAIN exam and on the basis
    of their score in MAIN, candidates are called for Interview.
    The total marks of MAIN exam and Interview is added to announce final result.
    The MAIN exam contains following papers.
    - 1 Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
    - 1 English Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
    - 1 General Essay type paper (200 marks)
    - 2 General Studies papers (300 marks each)
    - 4 Optional subjects papers (300 marks each). You have to select two
    subjects from the listed subjects. There will be two papers from each
    subject and full marks of each will be of 300 marks.

    IAS-Indian administrative service.it is probably one of the toughest exam to crack in india.Clearing the IAS Exam is the only way to become a member of the prestigious Indian Civil Services, of which the IAS is the most sought after service.
    The other services you could get on clearing the IAS Examination include the IPS, IRS, IRTS, IRPS, and many more.
    UPSC conduct this exam.
    Eligibility:
    age limit-21-30
    You can appear for the IAS exam a maximum of 4 times until the age of 30.
    There is no maximum educational qualification required for the IAS exam and plain graduates and PhD's all compete on the same level.
    there is some relaxation to BC/OBC/SC/ST

    If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC.

    The Indian Administrative Service (abbreviated as IAS) is the administrative civil service of theGovernment of India. It is one of the three All India Services. The officers of the IAS play a major role in managing the bureaucracy of both the Union Government and the State governments, with its members holding strategic posts across the country. The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Repeated attempts are allowed up to four times for General Merit candidates, seven times for OBC candidates. There is no bar on the number of attempts for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit to attempt the examination is 35 for SC/ST and 30 years for the General Merit Candidate.

    Eligibility of the candidate for the exam:

    • A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educatsional institutions .
    • Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qualify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination.

    if you want to become a civil servant then people give ias exam. its exam is very tough so to clear it i suggest to coaching from any upsc institutes . this exam is conducted by upsc. eligibility- 1 any degree course from any recognized university 2 students who had compleated their degree coarse or appearing both can take part in this exam 3 age should be between 21-30 years 4 there is age relaxation for sc/st and other backward classes for sc/st-5 year relaxation for other backword classes-3 years for domiciled candidates-5 year relaxation 5 candidate should be an indian citizen

    IAS STANDS FOR INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND IT IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC.THE ELIGIBLE CRITERIA ARE,The candidate must be an Indian National -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years of age which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. There is certain prescribed Physical Fitness test for those applying for IPS.     IAS/IFS/IPS/IES exam are conducted by UPSC, New Delhi. To appear in these exams You need to have only Graduate degree in any stream from UGC recognized university. For other details like age, reservations, fee etc, you can visit UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in.

    Dear pal,
    • IAS refers to the Indian Administrative service who are in charge of the various public sector corporations. All the department in a country is headed by minister which in turn is taken care by the IAS officers.
    • There are various posts available the higher post which a IAS officer can get is chief secretary of a state. Other posts include collector, divisional officer, developmental officer etc.
    • Officers are appointed by the central government in the ratio of one outside state aspirant to two insider . So that more preference is given to the aspirant belonging to a particular state.
    • The exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission which is in charge of filling up the various vacancies available in the central governmment.
    • The eligibility criteria for that being bachelor degree from any discipline and also the aspirant must have completed 21 years of age.

    IAS means Indian Administrative Service . After the IAS exam one will give the post of district Collector .
    IAS exam will be conducted by UPSC everyyear .
    The eligibility criteria for the exam is below :
    -> one should done their graduation from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks for general cast , 55% for other cast .
    -> A final year student can also eligible for applying the exam .
    -> age limit is 21-30 for general cast , 3 years relaxion for obc , 5 years relaxion for sc/st/ex-serviceman / physically handicapped .
    -> maximum 4 attempts are allowed for the general cast , 7 for obc cast and no limit for the no of attempts for the sc/st cast .

    The IAS exam will include theree parts
    1) Preliminary Exam
    2) Main Exam
    3) Interview .

    The final selection based on the marks available in the main exam plus interview .
    Preliminary exam consist two papers and one should pass this exam for qualifying for the next round .
    Main exam consists 9 descriptive type paper
    1-Any language
    2-english
    3-essay
    4&5-general study
    6&7-optional subject-1
    8&9-optional subject-2
    The first two papers marks are not considered but one should pass this two paper compulsory .

    The advertisement for the exam will be published on december / january .
    The preliminary exam will be on June
    The Main exam will be on october / november
    The Interview will be on February / march
    The result will be declared on May .

    IAS is Indian Administrative Services. it is a post comes under UPSC civil Services Exam.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    for UPSC exams you must complete or appearing in final year of graduation from recognized college or university.

    your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.

    And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

    Ias is an exam that is meant for indian administration.its full meaning is indian administrative services. Its eligibility criteria is a graduation from a recognized university and to be within the age limit of about 21-30

    IAS examination meaning Indian Administrative Services. If you crack IAS exam then you will be posted on Deputy Collector or DM of a district. You will apply online for this exam. For more details you should click www.upsc.gov.in

    This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC.

    If you are Graduate or appearing in graduation final year exam then you are fully eligible for this exam. If you have B.tech. degree then you can go to the Railway or other Central Engineering job in that case you have to crack IES exam.

    You can give this exam if your age is between 21 and 30 years on 1 August of Exam year.
