Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Service Exam :

Candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if the candidate is pursuing final year of the degree then also he/she can apply for this exam

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided only to reserved category candidates as per governments standards which is - 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWDs and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates and relaxation in upper age for - widow, divorced or separated ladies would be provided as per government guidelines

Dear you are under OBC category and a OBC category candidate can apply for this exam only till 33 years of age and only appear for 7 times but dear you are currently 35 years old so that you are not eligible to apply for this exam but if you comes under - PWD - Person With Disability category then you would be eligible to apply for this exam till 40 years of age

If you are thinking about bank exams then you can not apply for bank clerk or bank PO exam also because the maximum age limit for OBCs is - 31 years for clerk and 33 years for PO so that you can not apply for both of these exams but dear there is a good news for you about your career in banking which is following :

Eligibility Criteria to apply for IBPS CWE Specialist Officer exam 2013 : Dear there are various posts under this exam which requires different eligibility criteria to apply for examination :

1. I.T. Officer Scale - I : Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or computer application or information technology or Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication or electronics and communication or electronics and instrumentation or post graduate degree in any one of the above mentioned specialization

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 40 years for SC/ST, 38 years for OBC, 45 years for PWDs and 40 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates

4. Law Officer Scale - II : A bachelor's degree in Law - LLB and should have at least 3 years of experience or practice at bar or judicial service or law officer in legal department or a reputed bank or either central or state government

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 40 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

5. Agricultural Field Officer Scale - I : Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in agriculture or any other relevant specialization as - Horticulture/Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/Agriculture Engineering/Fishery Science/Pisciculture/Agriculture Marketing & Cooperation/Forestry from a recognized university

Age should not be less than 20 years and more than 35 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is mentioned above

6. Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale - I : Post graduate degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject or a post graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as a subject from a recognized university

Age should not be less than 20 years and more than 35 years relaxation follows same as mentioned above

7. Technical Officer Scale - I : Candidate should posses a bachelor's degree in engineering in any one of the - Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/Computer Science/Information Technology/Textiles/Chemical/B. Pharmaceutical etc. from a recognized university

Age should be between 20-35 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

8. HR/Personnel Officer Scale - I : Should have a bachelor's degree with post graduate degree or diploma in personnel management/industrial relations/HRD/Social work/labour law etc. or degree diploma in business administration/management with HRD as specialization subject from a recognized university

Age should be between 20-35 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

9. Marketing Officer Scale - I : Candidate should have completed his/her MBA in marketing or 2 years PGDBA or PGDBM or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university

Age should not be less than 20 years and more than 35 years and relaxation in upper age per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen

10. Chartered Accountant : Candidate should have passed final examination of chartered accounting course

Age should be between 21 years to 35 years and relaxation follows same as mentioned above

11. Finance Executive Scale II : Should have passed MBA or PGDBM with finance as specialization subject and must have at least 3 years of experience in the area or credit appraisal in industrial projects in financial institutions or banks

Age should be between 25 years to 35 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

Dear there is a huge big news for you that if you have qualification to apply for any one of the these exams then you can make your career in banking and financial sector and there is nothing in the exam means now you are 35 year old and if you have not a degree or diploma in relevant then you should go to complete MBA from a recognized university or institute and after that there would be one more year left for you so that you should prepare hard from now and get qualified in the exam

Dear questioner Civil Services is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.The guidelines and eligibility for candidates is given below.
Eligibility/Guidelines:

1. First a graduate or a final year candidate from a recognized university in any discipline can write UPSC conducted Civil SERVICES .

2.The age eligibility for General :21- 30 years.For OBC 21-33 years'.For S/c S/T=21-35 years' and PWD= 21-40 years.

According to your question if you belong to christian community and belong to OBC category then it is Impossible to appear in UPSC Civil Services as you have crossed the limit of 33 years.

No you are not eligible for civil services and bank exams....

For any exam you have to complete the graduation from any recognized university..

And your age should in between 21-30 years.

the upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates...

3 years for OBC

5 years for ST/SC

and 10 years for physically handicapped....


If you are from OBC,then you are not eligible..........

If you belong to OBC cast then also you are not eligible because you crossed the maximum age limit that are allowed for the civil service exam & bank exam .
The age limit for the CSE is below :
For OBC 21-33

The age limit for the Bank Clerk exam is below :
For OBC 18-31

The age limit for the bank PO exam is below :
For OBC 21-33

So you will neither eligible for the CSE nor the bank exam .

you should think for other exam in which you are eligible .

AT time you are not eligible for the civil service exam. because age relaxation for the obc category is the 4 years and attempt the changes 7 times. age limit for the obc category is the 21 to 34 years. so you complete the 34 years old. now you are not eligible for the exam.

the age limit for the ST category is 21 to 35 years,
so dear its your last year for applying in upsc...

eligibility criteria for upsc exams is :

candidate must have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
final year appearing candiadates can also apply for the upsc exam.
age limit for upsc exam is 21 to 30 years.
candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

Being a Roman catholic you call under the ST category. Normally the age limit for appearing the UPSC exam is 21 to 30 yrs for general candidates which is relaxed by 5 yrs for ST/ST category.
So this was probably the last year you could have appear for this. But I doubt you have missed it by whiskers.
Anyways you can still prepare for some banks exams,but try to make it quick.

Christians and other religious minority groups in India will be provided reservation via sub-quota of 4.5% in OBC quota of 27% ( But this decision is under observation of Supreme court right now).

But even if you are an OBC Candidate you are still not eligible for the UPSC Exams because OBC's are given a relaxation in upper age limit for maximum of 3 years.
Which means that their upper age limit is 33 years.
So you are not eligible for the UPSC Exams.

Sorry, you are not applicable. yes Chiristians & Muslims come OBC category and age relaxation is 3 years because 21-33 but your age is out of range.

christain do comes under the minority group which is sub-quota within quota of OBC's but
even
then you are not eligible for both the examination either it is of UPSC exams or BANKS exam.

as age after relaxation for both are GENERALLY about 33 years for OBC/ minority obc(sub-quota).

Also Christian do not come under OBC category. You are a general candidate.

To apply for Bank PO exam , you should have a completed graduate degree with any desire and final year candidates are not eligible to apply . You must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in your examination . 55% aggregate marks for reserved categories . Age should be between 21 years and 30 years . Upper age limits is applicable .

To apply for Bank clerks exam , you should have a completed 12th with any desire of a recognized School or equivalent qualification . ~~33 years for SC/ST category .

~~33 years for OBC category .
~~35 years for SC/ST category .

So , if you are belongs SC/ST candidates then only you have chance to apply for these examination .

Sorry to sat that you are not eligible to write both

exams the bank exams as well as the upsc exam

If you are a obc candidate also

you have only chance to apply for the exam

If you are a sc/st or ph candidate

The age limit for the upsc exam is 21-30 and for banks 20-30

And relaxation will be given to the sc.st of 5 year and obc of 3 year

And the relaxation will be given to the ph candidate of 10 year

1- yes you are eligible for both the exams.
2- no, christians doesn`t come in obc community.
3- at many govt. places , the relaxation for obc is +3 years on of general community.

So this was probably the last year you could have appear for this. But I doubt you have missed it by whiskers.

The NORMAL AGE LIMIT of UPSC EXAM IS 21-30years(AS ON 1ST AUGUST OF THE YEAR OF EXAMINATION).this age limit is for general candidates.
The upper age limit can be relaxed to a maximum of 3 years for OBC candidates.so you do have the option to appear for the exam till now
