Inorder to solve civil service exam you need alot of practice and spped and deep knowledge of the subject.
the educational qualifications required are- graduation in any stream from a ugc recognised university or college.

>> You can give Following times Attempt according to Category:

General Category: 4 Attempts

OBC: 7 Attempts

For appearing in the civil services examination, it is necessary for you to be a graduate in any field from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. The number of attempts for the general category is 4.
Whereas a relaxation of 3 and 5 yeas is given to the obc and sc/st category students respectively.
The number of attempts for the obc category is 7 whereas there is no restrictions for the sc.st students to appear in the upsc exam

mainly u shoud be through wit the general studies papar which includes history, geo,economy,polity,national movements,physics,chemistry,botny,zoology,gk,curre nt affairs and for c-sat reasning ,english,mental ability,quantitative ability. eligibily u must be a graduate of 21yre of age .

Dear friend.first of all you should know the pattern of the exam. preliminary exam will be conducted first. If you pass this exam you will be qualified for main exam. Main exam includes subjective type.Eligibility 1 student must be indian 2.Number of AttemptsFour attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.3 student must've completed his graduation , final year students are also eligible 4 age limit 21 to 30 years for general students maximum 33 years for OBC and 35 for SC ST students

dear friend to crack the civil service exam one needs very deep preparations as it is one of the toughest competition in the country so what you have to do is just make your subjects very strong by getting a very good amount of knowledge and that can be done just by deep study only and to be eligible one should be graduate and in the age group of 21-30 for general candidate 21-33 for obc candidate and 21-35 for sc/st candidate you can check more ddetails at upsc.gov.in

ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION:-

-- You must be Indian citizen.

-- You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.

-- Final year Candidate can also apply for this exam.

-- A candidate who have completed his/her graduation from technical courses can also eligible to apply.

-- Only passing mark is required to apply in the exam.

-- Age must not be less than 21 years & must not be more than 30 years.

-- For SC/ST, OBC candidates upper age relaxation is available.

-- For SC/ST- 5 years relaxation & for OBC- 3 years relaxation.

-- For General category 4 attempts, OBC- 7 attempts, SC/ST- unlimited attempts are available.

EXAM PATTERN:-

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Interview

Preliminary exam is divided in to 2 papers.
Each paper duration is 120 minutes.

Main exam is divided in to 9 papers.
Each paper duration is 180 minutes.

You give much importance to general knowledge & English.
Practice previous year question papers.
Study these subjects Comprehension, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Decision Making, General Ability, English language, Essay.
Broaden your knowledge on current affairs, Indian history, geography, politics, economics.

Hello,
If you want to crack the exam of UPSC first you have to think about negative marking by UPSC. Papers in UPSC prelim exam are of Objective type questions in which you have to solve the paper very carefully.

In UPSC Mains exams if you have good writing skills then you can take Subjects like History, Sociology, Political Science etc.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.
