How many hours in a day should I study to clear this exam? the above suggestions are good but with less time for preparation you have to study your class notes and the text books which you read in college during engineering.Don't throw away your college notes even though it is not upto the mark with preparation books because by just going through it you can have some idea and you don't need to start from basics. Practice previous and model papers for self assessment.If you start reading reference books now for knowledge you will end up with nothing in most cases.

Hi Aspirant, GATE exam is conducted for the entrance of M. Tech. Books for GATE exam Number of hours is not important for the preparation of GATE exam. You should study with full concentration. If you are getting proper direction, then it will be easy for you to crack GATE exam. You should do conceptual study for the GATE exam. Best of Luck�

As per my personal view book from G K publication is best for GATE preparations. You must read and practice for minimum 4-5 hours a day to crack it. Though it depends on you.

Study from now on wards very smartly. practice objective questions a lot. 1 year is a good time to prepare well for the examination. For good result you can join a coaching center as well.
