Dear friend ,

you can give civil services examination but you have to fulfill the criteria and qualifications required for the same .

if you can do it that means you are eligible for the same .



basic requirements for the same are mentioned below.


1. you must be the citizen of India.

2. you must be a graduate from a govt. recognized university.

3. you must be in between 21-30 years if you are a general category student.

4. and there is an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years for the obc and sc/st category aspirants.

5. there are also an age relaxation for physically handicapped and central govt employees of 10 and 5 years respectively.

but always remember that there is a restriction of no of attempts:-

for general :-4 times.

for obc :- 7 times.

for sc/st :- no restriction.



so first you should think that you are according to the criteria or not?? and than decide to fill the form of civil services examination .

if you want to appeared civil service exams then yes you can if you complete your graduate.


there is no matter that how mush you experience .


for civil service service exam you just need graduation.

there are not a particular exam for software engineer.

IES
SSC
UPSC
CDS
IPS

Friend,If you you have completed the graduation or in the final year of graduation, then you will be able to apply for Civil Service Examination.Moreover, you working experience in the field in IT Sector will not be any advantageous for you. Because working experiences or any professonal skill will not given any weightage or emphasis during the recruitment process.You have to be in the age of 21-30 years. Also be citizen of India. There is restriction on number of attempts as follows: General category has only 04 attempts OBC category has only 07 attempts SC/ST category can apply for unlimited attempts.WISH YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE

yes you can apply for CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS .

but it is not based on your experience . it is based on your qualification and age .

because if you will fulfill the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA then you can apply for CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.


ELIGIBILITY:-

>> you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

>> you must be an indian.

>> age should be 21 to 30 years.

>> age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.


NO OF ATTEMPTS:-

>> general = 4
>> obc = 7
>> sc/st = no limits

you have 2 year work ex. in IT area as a S/W developer that means you are graduate so you can move from IT area to civil services exam if you fulfill all the eligibility criteria of UPSC CSAT.

Eligibility Criteria OF CSAT exam

AGE limit

Age of the candidate should be 21 to 30 year.
candidate who are belong from OBC category can give this exam at the age 21 to 33 year
candidate who belong from SC/ST category can apply this exam at the age 21 to 35 year

Educational Qualification

Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
Final year candidate are also eligible for this exam.
there is no limit of percentage marks.

nationality- should be Indian

IMPORTANT DATES---

• notification 02/02/2013,
• last date of submission: 04/03/2013
• Date of prelim exam. 19/05/2013

For General category 21-30 years
For SC/ST Category 21-35 years
For OBC Category 21-33 years

For General Category 4
For OBC Category 7
For SC/ST Category No Limits

Civil Service doesn't require you to have work experience and Yes you can join Civil Services if you qualify the eligibility criteria's such as
Educational qualification: The candidate should have a Degree in any discipline from university recognized by UGC.
Final year Degree Students can also appear.

Nationality: Indian

Age Limit: 21-30 years(General)
Age Relaxation: 5yrs(SC/ST), 3yrs(OBC,Defence Service personnel)

no, there is no programme in the civil service.
Your private experience is no help you for the jump in the civil service.
If you got the job in the civil service then your work and according to experience related to the job is helpful you.

If you are graduate then definitely you are eligible for IAS exam provided your age is under the limit of the IAS norms.

The age limit for IAS exam is 21 to 30 years for general category candidate.

Age relaxation of 5 years is there for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for physically handicapped.

Hence if your age is according to the IAS norms then surely you can have a go at IAS examination.

Number of attempts are limited for General and OBC is 4 and 7 respectively. For SC/ST number of attempts are unlimited.

The selection procedure is of 3 steps:

-CSAT

-IAS mains

-Interview

Hence you must be well prepared for it then only you will become a IAS officer.
