First Make time table and then Set you goals.

First you need to set your goal then start preparation of Civil Service Exam.

If your First Goal is Civil Service then you can give time to Civil Service.

>> first Collect material for study.

Collect NCERT books and Start Reading and preparation of Civil Service.

>> Daily Read newspaper like The Hindu.

>> Regular Reading Of Magazine like chronicle, Yojana and Kurukshetra.

>> Daily Watching of TV will also increase your general Knowledge.

>> NCERT books are best for Preparation

>> And also read magazine to improve knowledge

You can prepare at home with yourself, you only need is material.

Also try to do practice of Previous year paper and Discuss with expert about new facts.

Be connected with magazine to regularly update your knowledge.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO TAKE THESE POINTS IN YOUR MIND AND YES DO NOT DEVIATE
FROM YOUR GOAL...
BEING A CIVIL ENGINEER YOU MUST BE GOOD AT MATHEMATICAL STUFF
....YOU CAN TAKE SUBJECTS OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN WHICH YOU ARE GOOD AND EFFICIENT.....

HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO CRACK THEM....


-try to be focused and read guide book available in market and get a good coaching. You should concentrate upon the subjects like history, geography, economic, general knowledge .


-the precise & focused presentation of these notes would be more effective than any other material provided by coaching especially in the scenario of negative marking .


-proper use of internet which is consider as an important source of information. It helps a lot. You can get latest information and in-depth analysis on the net. You should used current affairs websites available on the net especially those that are dedicated towards civil service exam..



-it is neccesary to develop yor general awareness so,always keep in touch with newspaper ,magazines and journals..improve your communcation skills and personality it would helpful in your personal interview..


-try to practice the previous years questions,reading materials and reccomended books so that you will be accquanted with the pattern of questions..



-speed and accuracy is the main thing needed which is one of the main bank exam preparation tips. In the exam you have to try to complete maximum questions as the time duration will be less for bank exams. Hi Aspirant,

Being a student of civil engineering final year you can apply for civil service exam.

But I will suggest you to complete civil engineering with good marks.

After that you can start the preparation for Civil Service exam.

You should join any good coaching for the preparation of CSE exam.

In my point of view you should do the well study of CSE exam one or two years.

After that when you will get confidence to crack CSE exam you should apply for it.

Because you will get limited attempt for CSE and you should not waste the attempts.



Number of attempts for CSE

4 attempts for general

7 attempts for OBC

No limit for SC/ST


You should study from NCERT books

You should also practice previous year question paper to know your weak point.

just manage you time for studies,
select a time in which you will study only for the preparation of exam,
then make a time table for that time period and include every subjects in it and give appropriate time to each subjects ,
solve more and more practice papers .

dear candidate u can prepare for civil service examination such a way:

You should first of all have good knowledge regarding the pattern and the syllabus of the Civil service exams. You should start your preparations on the basis of that. You can download the previous year question papers from different websites for reference. You can also study by referring standard text books. You should prepare for each section separately and note down the important points while studying. You should also have good general awareness.
