Dear, Upsc is not university or college. it is only provide the government jobs through en entrance exam. for the entrace exam you must graduate in any stream then u take part in the exam and compete the competition then got the government jobs best of luck
Re: Can I do Engineering or Medical through UPSC exams? Hi Ajit you can do B.E. in Mechanical Engineering after you qualify SCRA Exam Conducted by UPSC.The best part is that you get a stipend of around Rs. 10000 with a Class 1 government job in INDIAN RAILWAYS in your hands.

Dear Candidate, -The basic purpose of the UPSC Exams is to provide jobs. -Although if you are looking forward to attain an ENGINEERING DEGREE,through these exams,then you can surely accomplish it through the SCRA AND NDA EXAMS. SUCCESS WITH GOOD RANK IN THE SCRA EXAMS OFFER YOU A COURSE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING,IN A SPAN OF FOUR YEARS,AND THEN YOU ARE PLACED IN AS GRADE-A RAILWAY OFFICERS. EVEN THE NDA EXAMS COULD OFFER YOU WITH A BTECH DEGREE,IF YOU DESIRE,AND QUALIFY THE EXAMS COMPLETELY. -Although,there is no such provision to a degree in medical through the UPSC,but you can have good posts if you have this degree from some other UGC Recognized University.

UPSC is as same as CBSE board which conducts exam for job, for different Departments of Central Govt. for different posts But there is a chance for Medical if you Qualify AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College ) than only your whole Fee will be paid by the Govt. And another option NDA through which you can do your Graduation in Science subjects.

It conducts exam for IAS, Indian Administrative Services and IPS Indian Police Services. IFS Indian Forest Services, IES Engineering Services, SCRA Special Class Railway Apprentice etc. The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university. The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991. You can apply for these examination online at www.upsconline.nic.in There are two types of written examination in UPSC. UPSC Prelim exam and UPSC Mains exam. You will appear in UPSC Prelim exam first in which Objective type Questions are asked from General English, General Studies etc. For UPSC Mains you have to choose Subjects. There are total 51 Optional Subjects in which 23 are from main subjects and 28 Language Subjects like Hindi, English, Bengali etc. It do not provide any degree or courses

UPSC conducts exams like CIVIL SERVICES EXAM (IAS,IPS,etc.,) INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE INDIAN FOREST SERVICE COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICE COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY CENTRAL POLICE FORCE INDIAN ECONOMICAL SERVICE/INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE GEOLOGIST'S EXAMINATION for these exams a degree/graduation is needed. age limit: 21-30yrs for gen. age relaxation for obc,sc/st,ph,etc., visit www.upsc.gov.in
Re: Can I do Engineering or Medical through UPSC exams? Dear candidate the union public service commission organize exam for all civil services, iss,ies,cds and for another exams. It does not provide any degree or course. After +2 a candidate can also apply for nda because the requird qualification for nda is +2 only. Age must be between 16.5 to 19 years should be a citizen of the india. Nda is better for all those candidate who are not enable to pursue their high study.
