    IAS exam contains three stages;-
    preliminary exam,
    main exam
    interview

    to join exam;-
    ***you must be graduate from a recognized university.

    **age limit is 21-30 years

    **you must be Indian citizen

    category age relaxation
    obc 3
    sc/st 5
    physically handicapped 10


    everyone can crack this exam if you have harder to harder work.
    read newspaper daily
    follow best books

    IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year.

    IAS EXAM HAS THREE STAGES

    1.Preliminary Exam

    2.Main Exam

    3.Interview


    after clearing the Preliminary exam you will have to clear the Main Exam which consists Nine papers given below;

    MAIN EXAMINATION PATTERN

    *Paper I & II -Two Language Paper(Indian & General English,Each Carries 300 marks)

    **Paper III- Essay (200 marks)

    ***Paper IV & V- General Studies (2 papers ,Each of 300 marks)

    ****Paper VI, VII,VIII & IX
    - 2 Optional Subjects (each having two papers & each carries 300 marks)


    And after the Main examination The Interview Process Begins.

    i m a student of be 3rd sem .i want to be an ias officer . i ve onli little info abt it. i need to write upsc exam . are there other xams to be an ias ? i ve heard tht upsc r the most difficult to crack. n v need to prepare for the exams for like 2-3 years ? wt is the syllbs ? how do i prepare for the exams ? in wt fields do i need to concentrate to clear the exam in the first attempt??? do i need to go for coaching ? if yes, then wher can i get coaching in BIDAR?? plz send me every detail related to exams.
