IAS EXAM HAS THREE STAGES

1.Preliminary Exam

2.Main Exam

3.Interview

after clearing the Preliminary exam you will have to clear the Main Exam which consists Nine papers given below;

MAIN EXAMINATION PATTERN

*Paper I & II -Two Language Paper(Indian & General English,Each Carries 300 marks)

**Paper III- Essay (200 marks)

***Paper IV & V- General Studies (2 papers ,Each of 300 marks)

****Paper VI, VII,VIII & IX - 2 Optional Subjects (each having two papers & each carries 300 marks)


And after the Main examination The Interview Process Begins.
