IES stands for Indian Engineering Service

This exam is after completion of your Degree education .
Specially after complete your engineering degree then candidate eligible for apply for this exam.

Branches who are eligible to appear:-

*Civil engineering
*Electrical Engineering
*Electronics Engineering
*Mechanical Engineering

These above branches candidates are eligible for IES exam.

TIPS & TRICKS TO CRACK THIS EXAM:-

--As the Engineering Services examination is the toughest one of its kind one should be very good in his subject to crack the exam.
--You should cover all the topics very well from some good books.
--Apart from that , also a good practice of previous year question papers is required so as to make yourself well in the exam.
--Time management is a precious factor.
--Practice more & more to get acquainted to the old question papers, question pattern & syllabus.
--Always stay cool & confident for examination .

Questions are based on general english,general science and your respective engineering subject.
For this your knowledge about your engineering topic should be very good and the concepts should be clear.You have to follow some good books based on general science.
Always practice previous years question papers and keep yourself to the time limit.
Always refer to the syllabus and practice as many questions related to the topic you read immediately.
Always make your own notes or follow underline technique of reading books so that you can cover the whole syllabus in less time before examination.

It consist of written test for 1000 marks
200 marks for interview
For those shortlisted of total 1000 marks in the written test
600 marks are for conventional test and objective test.
the written test is subject test i.e. technical part and is subjective in nature.
you should follow the subjects thoroughly and in depth as it is one of the most difficult exam in india. you may try some coaching if you can manage time. and refer previous questions thoroughly.
