Is there any post of Director or Assistant director in the Ministry of education through UPSC exam?

I am a teacher with qualification M.A.: B.Ed. Let me know the prospects I have in UPSC Exams for the post of director or addl. director. in the ministry of education. I myself have no exact idea about the said post/s . Presently I am 38 yrs. So how much chance I have.
Secondly, when do ads come out?
Thirdly, if there is any chance that I am given alert on my mail?
Fourthly, how I can prepare myself for the said exams?

    Please, let me know.....
    Thanks.

Sorry friend UPSC doesnt conduct any entry scheme for Director and Assistant Director.

UPSC conducts the following competitive exam every year which are as follows

As you mentioned that your age is 38 years.

So you have crossed the age limit according to UPSC age criteria.

Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years.

    Age relaxation

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

So you have not a single chance to apply for UPSC exam.

    For further info visit www.upsc.gov.in

    Best of Luck
