    IPS stands for Indian Police Service.
    The Indian Police Service simply known as Indian Police or IPS, is one of the three All India Services Civil services of the Government of India.

    To become an IPS officer you must appear for Civil Service exam.

    Dear friend IPS stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVICE.

    For apply IPS officer exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    Indian Police Services exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

    Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

    Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

    And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.

    Number of Attempts:-

    General category candidates - 4 time

    OBC category Candidates - 7 time

    SC/ST category candidates - No limit.

    Physical Standard:--

    Height � Male 165 cm and Female -150 cm

    Chest � Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

    Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

    Selection procedure :-

    - Preliminary entrance exam

    - Main entrance exam

    - Interview

    - Physical and medical test

    IPS stands for Indian police Officer.

    This is a highly prestigious job and a dream job for many students.

    Many students aspire of becoming an IPS officer and some of them fulfill their dreams.

    To get in to this one has to clear Civil services examination.

    The exam is conducted by UPSC and its a common exam for IAS,IPS &IFS.

    This is the most toughest exams in India. The one who aspire to be any of the officers in Civil services has to put in a lot of efforts to clear the examination.

    The exam consists of stages namely:-

    1. Preliminary exam

    This is an objective exam and now known by the name of CSAT i.e, Civil services Aptitude test.

    It consists of 2 papers ie, General aptitude and General studies

    2. Mains exam

    This is a subjective exam in which you have to write descriptive answers.

    3. Interview
    If you clear both the above stages then you will be called for an Interview.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS:-

    You must have done your Graduation or even If you are in your last year you are eligible for the exam.

    Any stream candidates are eligible for the exam.

    No as such percentage is required.

    Only Indians are allowed to appear for the exam.

    AGE LIMIT:-

    GENERAL- 21 to 30 yrs

    OBC- 21 to 33 yrs

    SC/ST- 21 to 35 yrs

    PH- 21 to 40 yrs

    This post will be awarded to candidates who secure good marks in the exam called Civil Exams.

    For getting this service one have to clear Civil Services examination organized by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) with a very good rank as competition is very hard for getting this service.

    IPS aims at maintaining law and order in the society and to help innocent citizens of country to live without terror crimes.

    TO BECOME AN IPS OFFICER YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC .

    THE NOTIFICATION FOR THE EXAM IS RELEASES IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY EVERY YEAR.

    IPS stands for Indian police service it is one of the competitive exam in india and this examination is organized by Union public service commission for every year.If you interest to apply this Exam you should be have this eligibility's. you should be citizen of india,and should be complete your graduation in recognized university and there is no minimum percentage of mark for this examination and also final year student eligible for this examination.And your age should between 21 to 30 years.and age relaxation is applicable for Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe and then Other backward caste candidates.

    ~~Written Main's

    IPS stands for the indian police services.
    In order to become an IPS officer, you need to clear the upsc civil services examination that is been conducted by the upsc once in an year. The exam is in the three phases
    Prelims, mains and the interview.
    If you clear all the phases then you are according to your performance you will be allotted the indian police services. You will be provided with the highest rank in the police services

    The required qualification for IPS examination is:

    The other eligibility criteria are:

    * Citizenship - Indian

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year.


    The selection is through three phases:-

    CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam comprises of objective type questions.
    Civil Service Main Exam comprises of subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus.
