>> While the notifications regarding the release of application forms are made available in November,the exams are conducted in January.

After clearing the SCRA exam you should wait for the final selection list and joining letter.

In this year SCRA exam was conducted on 29/1/2012.

UPSC will dispatch the joining letter after completing all the things related to exam.

As you get joining letter you will be called for the training.

The date of joining and venue will be mentioned in joining letter.

Dear Friend,

The Acronym "SCRA" stands for " Special Class Railway Apprentice".

* The SCRA Exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

The Eligibility Criteria for this exam are :

a) You must have passed your 12th with a minimum of 55% marks from any recognized board.

b) Your age must lie in between 17-21 years.

c) Age relaxation is also for students from reserved categories.

Now , After Passing the exam , you will be called for the interview.

If you are selected in the interview , then you have to go for B.Tech from Mechanical Engineering stream.

The course fee is beared by the Indian Government and you will also be paid a stipend of Rs. 9000/month during the course.

After the completion of course , you will be appointed in Indian Railways as a class- i officer.
