Dear as you know that this year's UPSC DCIO examination has been conducted at 6th of January 2013 and examination pattern of this examination is following according to the official recruitment notification please :
Scheme and Instructions to the candidates for DCIO Test :
>> All candidates will get only two hours duration (120 minutes) for the examination
>> The Test will carry a maximum of 100 marks including all subjects
>> The test will be objective type questions with multiple choice answers
>> The Medium of test will be english only for all aspirants
>> There will be separate penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question

* Scientific temper relating to basic understanding of science including everyday observation & experience

* Fundamentals of Basic Electronics

You must suggest your brother to be prepared for next UPSC DCIO examination 2014 because it has been more than 6 months for past DCIO examination and he has around 5 months to get prepared well for upcoming examination so help him and if possible then you must provide your opinion to join any good coaching institute of competitive exams where he could practice well and also give some books for preparation and practice and keep in touch with www.upsc.gov.in for all latest updates
