What is SCRA? What is the meaning of "Apprentice" in the full form of SCRA?

SCRA is a special class railway apprentice exam conducted by upsc. After claearing the all phases of scra u will offer by govt to do b.tech for 4 years. and then completing it u will get a job in railway.
Apprentice means " take on as a beginner or learner"

Eligibility
Age Criteria: Minimum of 17 years & maximum 21 years of age till date of advt

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
or
Higher Secondary (12 years) Examination under 10 plus 2 pattern of School Education with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

SCRA is short form of " special class railway apprentice " This exam is conducted by upsc for recruitment in railway . If you pass this exam then you have to do b.tech for and then completing it u will get a job in railway. APPRENTICE means a learner win learns under expert

1)written exam which consists of 600 marks (subjects includes english,science,mathematics)

2)fitness test for those who had qualified the written exam.

SCRA exams stand for the SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE.
These exams are conducted by the UPSC for selecting the best deserving candidates from all over the country to train in as mechanical engineers,for free of cost,and then place them as Grade A officers in Railways.




In SCRA,the term APPRENTICE refers to-
-*the 0ne who is learning a trade or occupation
,which is basically mechanical engineering to work under the Railways.

SCRA exam stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice examination .
This exam is conducted by union public services commission(U.P.S.C).
This exam is conducted to recruit candidates in Indian railway.

ELIGIBILITY:-

-- Must be Indian.
-- Age should not be less than 17 years, should not attain the age of 21 years.
-- Upper age limit relaxation is available to SC/ST, OBC candidates.
-- Should have passed +2 /intermediate/equivalent exam with first or second class.
-- Must have studied math & at least one subject from physics & chemistry.
-- must be physically fit.

EXAM PATTERN:-

1)Written test
2)Personal interview

Written test consists of 3 objective papers. Each paper having 200 marks & total mark is 600.
Total mark in personality test is 200 marks.
Candidates who are qualified in written test are called for personality test.

APPRENTICE MEANING:- Work for an expert to learn a trade

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentices and the examination is conducted by UPSC every year to select candidates for the Mechanical Department of the Indian Railways. The Notification of this year examination was already declared and the examination was already over.

To apply for this examination you must have attained 17 years of age and must not have completed 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination.

If you have completed your Intermediate examination OR Graduate degree course with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination then you are appeared for SCRA Examination.

There is no Restriction to apply for SCRA Examination, You can apply for this examination many times, You must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Special Class Railway Apprentices� Examination.

The approximate number of vacancies, to be filled on the results of the examination
is 42.

The exam consists of 3 papers with objective type questions .All the question papers given in English language only. The time duration for each paper 2 hours .
