S.C.R.A. is an examination which stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice examination .
This exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission(U.P.S.C) to recruit candidates for mechanical department of Indian Railways.
Candidates who are selected in S.C.R.A. get jobs in the Class-I service of Indian Railways.

ELIGIBILITY FOR S.C.R.A. :-

-- Candidate must be an Indian.
-- Candidate must have passed +2 /intermediate/equivalent exam with first or second class.
-- Student must have studied math & at least one subject from physics & chemistry.
-- Age should not be less than 17 years, should not be more than 21 years.
-- Upper age limit relaxation is available to SC/ST, OBC candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
