Re: Will I be selected as IFS officer if I choose Hindi language as medium of instructions?

Yes you will be selected if you choose the optional language as hindi as a medium of instruction
because there is only the requirement for the optional subjects that you have interest.
So if you are interested in hindi then its ok, but all you need to do is hard work for selection in the same.
If you like to apply for the IFS then you need to have the eligibility criteria for the same as follows-
You must be a graduate in any of the subjects as follows-
Vetiranary science, zoology, botany, mathematics, physics and chemistry, statistics, animal husbandry or have a bachelor degree in agriculture or forestryengineering of a recognised university.
Or equivallent degree in agriculture or forestry or engineering of a recognised university or equivalent.
There will be the written examination and that will be conventional type that means essay type.
Into that part 1 paper will be general english. of 300 marks.
In part 2 general knowledge paper of 300 marks.
Paper 3,4,5,6 any 2 subjects to be selected from the list of the optional subjects.
Total marks in the exeamination wioll be 1400.
For more details log on to www.upsc.gov.in
    Thank you.
