    Hi...friend
Absolutely you can eligible to attempt UPSC exam
because upsc wants complete graduates or final year students
in any specialization with any percentage from any recognized university
The following are also eligible to give upsc exam..
    CSE
    IT
    ECE
    EEE
    MECH
    CIVIL
    CSIT

It is some better to write upsc exam after completion of your b.tech
Why because in final year you have a major project
It is very necessary so that concentrate on your studies first
After that go for crack upsc exam
    any way good luck...

Re: Am I eligible for UPSC examination while pursuing 4th year B.Tech?

Yes my friend you are eligible for the exam .

The Education criteria for the exam :
-> one should done their graduation from any recognized university .
-> If one is in the final year of graduation then also one can eligible for the exam but before the main exam one have to complete the graduation .

So As per the above criteria , you are in the final year so that you are eligible for the exam .

But you should fulfill the age criteria like
    21-30 for general cast
    21-33 for obc cast
    21-35 for Sc/ST cast
    21-40 for physically handicapped

So if you fulfill the age criteria also then you can give the exam .

But be remember that there are limits for the number of attempts .
    4 for general cast
    7 for obc cast
no limit for sc/st cast .

so please take care , when you fully prepared then and then give the exam otherwise your attempt will be useless .

For exam pattern and subject visit the upsc site www.upsc.gov.in

    best of luck
