the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for IFS is as follows:
1.You must be an Indian Citizen.
2.Your age must lie in-between 21 to 30 years.However upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5years for SC/ST/PD category.
3.You must have a bachelor degree in any of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized Universities.

The number of attempts is limited to:
1.General category :4
2.OBC category :7
3.SC/ST/PD : unlimited.

IFS � Indian Foreign Survives

**Age limit

The candidates be minimum 21 years and Maximum age limit is the 30 years go the GM and for the SC/St candidates 35 years and for the OBC candidates have the maximum age limit of 33 years

Nationality
You should be Indian citizen

Number of Attempts

For the General category � Four Times
For the OBC � Seven Times
For the SC/St � No Limit


Restriction of the Candidates
The candidates who has already selected for the IAS post and IFS post earlier before the exam such candidates are not eligible for the exam
