This examination is conducted by the Union public service commission.

The eligibility criteria for this examination is:

>>You must a bachelor's degree in science with at least one of the following subjects in graduation:

1.Mathematics

2.Physics

3.Chemistry

4.BOtany

5.Zoology

6.Animal husbandry and vetrinary science.

or Bachelor's degree in any stream of engineering,agriculture etc.



>>Your age should be between 21 to 30 years .Relaxation is available for obc/sc/st.

IFS stand for Indian Forest Service.

This exam is organized by UPSC every year for the recruitment of post forest officer.


Required Qualification for IFS exam

You must be graduate in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

No certain marks of percentage required in graduation.

Final year candidates can also apply.

Age should be 20 to 30 years

Age relaxation

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.

The candidates who will complete Bachelor of Degree in the subject of the Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics and Mathematics such candidates are eligible for the exam. The in addition to this must full fill the remaining requirement of the examination.

21-30 years the Relaxation is available for the SC?ST and OBC candidates

For the OBC � Seven Times
For the SC/St � No Limit

This exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

Eligibility criteria for IFS :-

1] The candidate must be either

>> a citizen f India

>> A subject of Nepal

>> A subject of Bhutan

2] The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years.

3] the candidate must be completed his / her graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

4] The candidate who is appearing in final year can apply for this exam.

Selection procedure for IFS :-

1] Preliminary exam

2] Mains exam

3] Interview

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IFS=

1)AGE=21-30 YEARS

*SC/ST=RELAXATION UP TO 5 YEARS.

*BC=UP TO 3 YEARS

*BLIND DEAF-MUTE/PHC=UP TO 10 YEARS.

2)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION=ANY BACHELOR DEGREE HAVING AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS=

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, VETERINARY SCIENCE,BOTANY,CHEMISTRY,SCIENCE ,GEOLOGY,MATHEMATICS,PHYSICS,STATISTIC,ZOOLOGY,AGR ICULTURE FORESTRY,AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING ,FORESTRY ENGINEERING,chemical,civil engineering,mechanical engineering .

3)NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS=GENERAL=4 TIMES.

SC/ST=NO RESTRICTIONS

BC=7 ATTEMPTS.

NEW SCHEME OF EXAM=IFoS will be 2 tier examination similar to that of civil service examination.
*civil service (preliminary) exam shall serve as screening test for both civil service and indian forest service
*notification of IFoS WILL be done simultaneously with the civil service examination .
*application can be called as combined online application form for civil service and IFoS EXAMINATION.
