If you want to crack civil services exams then you should choose your relevant discipline engineering branch means if you have studies about Electrical engineering then you should choose Electrical engineering and if you have studied as - Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. then you should choose that subject in the mains exam of IAS or civil services and you have choose these subjects in engineering stream which are available in UPSC mains exam :
1. Civil Engineering
2. Electronic Engineering
3. Mechanical Engineering
4. Computer Science
If you will choose your relevant subject which you have studied in your degree or PG then it would be easy for you to crack but if you will choose any other branch then it would be tough for you to crack.
