Hi Aspirant,

UPSC conducts the IES exam every year for the post of Assistant executive engineer.

IAS stands for Indian Engineering Service.

The exam will be competitive because lots of candidates appear in IES exam.

In this year UPSC exam was conducted on 15/6/2012.


Qualification for IES exam

You should have BE or B. Tech degree in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent.

You can apply for IES exam from following branch

Civil

Mechanical

Electrical

Electronics and Telicommunication

You should be in age of 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation

Sc/St + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

You must be Indain.
