Re: How many times can a OBC aspirant try with UPSC exams like IES, ISS etc.,?

There are several exams conducted by UPSC like

    >Indian Administration Services (IAS)

    >Indian Police Services (IPS)

    >Indian Engineering Services (IES)

For IAS and IPS you are eligible if you have a graduation in any discipline.
But for IES you need an engineering degree in ECE ,EEE, MECH or CIVIL.
For all these exams the age limit is between 21 and 30.
There is a relaxation in age of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

So , after class 12 finish the corresponding graduation.
    Then you are eligible.

    Dear pal,
    • Many exams are conducted by the Union public service commission. The eligibility for the exam being more or less the same. The relaxation provided for the exam are also the same.
    • Only engineers can apply for the Indian Engineering service. They can attempt in their final if they have completed 21 years of age.
    • Except SC, ST others are provided with a limited number of attempts only. BC aspirant can make a maximum of 7 attempts within a age of 33 . Whereas for general category aspirant it is much more limited they can make only 4 attempts.
    • If you have good knowledge in the discipline which you persue attempts doesn't matter at all you can clear the paper in your first attempt itself.
    • Do not give paper for the name sake prepare well and attempt the exam so that you can shine in the exam with good rank in it.
    • Also the paper will be testing your basics so have good knowledge in basics
