You can apply for the Civil services examination if you fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the examination given below-
First of all if you are a graduate in any discipline then you can apply for the civil services examination.
You must have the age between 21 to 20 years.
If you belongs to the different category then you can get the age relaxation as folows-
5 years for the SC/ST candidates.
3 years for the OBC candidates.
5 years for the ex service men including the commissioned officers.
3 years for the disabled defence personel in war.
If you like to see the pattern of the examination then you can see the criteria for the same as folows-
There will be three stages of the examinations and these are given below-
1) CSAT stands for the civil services aptitude test it includes 2 papers and each of the exam consist of 200 marks each and the subjects are general studies.
2) Mains examination includes 2000 marks there will be total of 9 papers , there is a choice of the optional subjects , so whatever subject you are interested you can choose from the list to give the examination according to the interest.
3) if you qualify the examination then you will be called for the interview and that will consist of the 300 marks .
So the total marks that will be for the examination will be 2300.

If you like to apply for the MPSC examination then you need to follow the criteria as follows-
candidates need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
If a final year of the graduation can also apply for the same.
Age required to apply for the same is 19 to 28 years.
Age relaxation same as civil services.
You need to give the exams in three stages-
Preliminary.
Mains exam.
Interview.
