Re: Can I apply for UPSC Crime branch officer after completing B.Tech (CSE) from IETE which is recognized by MHRD?

Dear first of all I would like to tell you clearly that there is no examination conducted by UPSC board for the post of Crime Branch Officer so there is no matter for this post and UPSC board but UPSC board conduct another examination for the post of Deputy Central Intelligence Officer that is also a part of Crime Branch but mainly comes under Intelligence Bureau of India and you may appear for that examination after being eligible for that examination and eligibility for UPSC DCIO exam is following as :

Candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized institute/ university/ board :

Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Science/ Engineering or BE/B.Tech in Information Technology or

Master's Degree in Computer Application or M.Sc in Chemistry/ Physics with Wireless/ Bio-Technology/ Space Engineering and Rocketry/ Electronics / Optics/ Nuclear Physics as a subject from a recognized university

Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 35 years and relaxation in upper age will be provided only to reserved category candidates as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

If you have completed B.Tech in CSE then you may apply for this examination but presently no notification related this examination has been issued by the board so you should wait for some more time because there is no fixed schedule or criteria for this examination about conducting regularly as other exams conducted by UPSC

There is one more examination under Intelligence Bureau of India conducted and you may apply for that examination too :
