To give UPSC Exams, the minimum eligibility required is graduation of any branch.

Final year graduates can also apply for UPSC Exams.

Only degree is needed, no specific percentage is needed.

So, your 12th marks doesn't matters here.

All you need to give UPSC Exams is a valid degree from recognized university.

You need not worry now about your 12th percentage, if you completed your graduation then you can apply for the exam.

UPSC is an organizing body, which conducts many exams like CDS, NDA, CSE, IES etc.

So, the eligibility conditions vary from exam to exam.

The basic eligibility criteria for most of the exams is degree only.

So, if you are gradaute then you can apply for these exams.

But you need to satisfy one more criteria i.e age.

The minimum age should be 21 and maximum is 30 years.

There is upper age relaxation as per the government rules.

The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 33 years for OBC Category.

The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 35 years for SC/ST Category.

The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 40 years for PWD/Ex-service men.

Re: Can I apply for UPSC exam if scored only 59% marks in 12th exams?

    Hello

You must know this fact first that most of the exams that is conducted by the UPSC are of graduation level and there are only two exams that is conducted on the basis of 10+2 qualification.

The exams are NDA and SCRA.
NDA is a entry in all three wings of the defence that is entry in the air force, army and navy, while SCRA is a entry in the high ranked railway officer after completing the course.

You need to have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent exam to 10+2 in order to apply for both the exams.
The eligibility criteria for the NDA is that the candidates must have passed intermediate with physics and maths for air force and navy and with any stream for army.
Age limit-16.5 to 19 years(at the time of commencement the course).

There is no requirement of percentage.Only pass marks is enough.

For the SCRA,the candidates must have passed intermediate with maths and any one subject between physics and chemistry.
The candidates must have passed with a second division.
    Age limit-17 to 21 years.

Your percentage in intermediate is 59%,then as per the requirement of the NDA you are applicable as there is no percentage issue and for the SCRA,you need to have second division and you have that much of percentage.

Hence you are applicable for both the exams conducted by the UPSC for the intermediate candidates.
