i want ot join ips exam, and doing ma in soicology, can i will have any benifit to have pg in soiciology and can appear ips exam

IPS stands for Indian Police Services. For the post of IPS officer you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.
For Civil Services Exam you need only graduation in any stream. So you can apply for Civil Services Exam within your PG course also.
your PG is Sociology will only help you if you choose Sociology as your optional subject for Civil Services Mains exam. As now you might have lots of knowledge about Sociology and it will help you to clear the Sociology paper.
