Friend, please note that# It is observed that large number of candidates have the lot of misconceptions regarding UPSC Examination.# Majority of candidates asked similar questions regarding minimum percentage marks required for UPSC Examination in degree level and 10+2 level.# Let me clear that there is no any need of any percentage marks in any UPSC Examination.# Only pass marks are enough for all UPSC Examinations.# Civil Service Examination is most popular and competitive examination of UPSC.# Degree in any stream from recognised university is required for Civil Service Examination.# Age limit criteria: * 21 years is the minimum age fixed for all categories. * 30 years is the maximum age fixed for General category. * 33 years is the maximum age fixed for OBC category. * 35 years is the maximum age fixed for SC/ST category. * 40 years is the maximum age fixed for PWD category.# Also there is provision of fixation of specific number of attempts separately for every category: * General category can make only four attempts * OBC category can make only seven attempts. * SC and ST categories can make any number of attempts as they have no any limit.
Well it is not so that you should have 60% marks in your graduation for writing any UPSC exams.
UPSC stands for Union Public Service Comission.

You need not get 60% or above 60% in your Academics
Because THERE IS NO SUCH RULES ACCORDING TO THE U.P.S.C
There is no percentage criteria to be eligible
You must have a minimum of Graduation from a recognized university
The stream might be any one
So YOU MUST HAVE JUST PASSED THE QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
The minimum age must be 21 years
Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years
For OBC -- Maximum age is 33 years
For SC / ST -- Maximum age is 35 years
You must be Physically good and well
So having no doubt try to apply for the exam
GOOD LUCK
Hi
Dear friend, in order to appear in the civil services examination conducted by the upsc, no specific percentage marks are required in order to sit in the examination.
For giving the exam, you just need to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years.
In graduation, even the student who has 33% marks is eligible for giving the examination.
The age limit for the obc category is 21-33 years and the age limit for the sc/st category is 21-35 years.
Gud luck
NOT at all. There is no such percentage restriction for Civil Service exam.
What one needs to be eligible is a degree of Graduation from any stream from a recognised University. The age limit is 21-30years.
There is nothing mentioned about percentage required and several candidates with below 60% qualify and join Civil Services every year. You need to prepare well and apply without bothering about marks of graduation. In fact concentrate more on scoring high marks in the CSAT and the Mains.
