What is the Medical requirement for applying in Indian Forest Service examination?

Hi, I suffer a form of colour blindness. I find it difficult to distinguish between colours but can partially recognize colours individually. I wanted to know whether I will face any problem if I apply for Indian Forest Service?. What are IFS's medical requirements particularly regarding vision.

there normal medical test conducted as walking test and few other test as just to find whether you are medically fit or not, its just like your regular health check up so not to worry, if you are physically fit, apply for the post.. All the best..

Though color blindness is an incurable disease,and it plays a major role in most of the competitive exams,you are completely eligible for the civil service exams.You can hold a no. of posts under the UPSC including your most desirable IFS post and the IAS post.
its just that you won't be able to hold posts such as the IPS.

Medical Examination Pattern:

• The physical standards prescribed for appointment to the Indian Forest Service (IFS), vide rule 17 of the IFS (Examination) Rules, 2005 are laid down in Appendix III.and may please be carefully studied.
  
• The Medical Examination will be conducted by a duly constituted "Central Standing Medical Board" at the following hospitals in New Delhi- 110001

The medical check up will like regular health check up...

Since it is not defense dept so there is no specific medical dept.
Basic eligibility requirement:
-graduation in any of the Science subjects, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Geology, Maths or Statistics, Agriculture or Forestry
-Min age-21 years & max age -30 years
-citizen of India

Physical standards for Indian forest service Examination
Physical standard for it is as some as for defence services for all.But not sure about your problem suggest you to ask your doctor and also visit
