dear its a good that you have passed in 12th standard n now want to preparation for civil service exam. Dear it is not necessary that if you have degree in engineering then you can apply for civil service exam if you simple graduate student from recognized university then also you can apply for it. If you do course in only engineering stream that a great according to this degree you can apply for IES exam through UPSC n remaining things depends on you that after graduation or engineering degree which post you can choose through UPSC.
