    Dear Aspirant
As you want to prepare for IAS exam after BTECH in computer Science,so I must suggest you that you must
Know syllabus of IAS exam which is described below
The IAS paper has three stages...
    -Preliminary exam
    -Main Exam
    -Personal Interview
For bece IAS you must have to clear each level..
The Preliminary paper includes two papers which are
    -GS paper 1
    -CSAT paper 1
In GS syllabus of exam is
    -Current Affairs
    -Indian and world History
    -Indian Economics
    -Indian And World Geographics
    -General Science
To cover all subjects you must read out all books of NCERT Books from 6-10
Class, this makes you better for preparation of IAS exam
in spite of this you can also read "Unique Book of General Knowledge".which is
    best for IAS preparation.
For CSAT you must have good hand on Aptitude, which you already have due to engineering student...
For IAS main exam you have to choose two subjects from given optional subjects
and in this paper you have to give to give three papers for English and General Knowledge..
    All The Best....

    Dear Aspirant

See you are in the first year of your engineering. You have taken Computer Science Engineering. One of the best strems having lots of jobs in software industry.Being in first year of engineering don't divert your mind.It is good that you want to become an IAS by cracking civil services examination but the important thing I would like to say that you focused on your study for time being.Do you know the maximum age limit for becoming an IAS is 30 years for an unreserved category. My motto is not to deviate you from your goal. But to make your focused towards it.Every small steps of success taken towards will keep your enthusuiam as well as your spirit alive.

Only thing I want to say you try to perform best in your semester grades and at the same time if time left then you take your preparation parts for civil service examination in such a way that it enhance your knowledge as well as your motto also.See why I am telling this and why intially I was telling those words.

What happen generally people work hard anyhow get admissions in engineering college and then again rat race begins people starts preparing for big examintion like CAT,civil services.Only people think and in doing they forget their basic duties that is of studying do not get good semester marks and then gradually start blaming themselves. So instead doing that why not develop a positive apporach study and perform well and improve grades and give credits for doing good to yourself and when you passed third year then you may think of doing prepartion for civil services

Since you are enthusuiasitic and even if you are not but you should follow this basics that apart from course study give half an hour time to read an English newspaer. It will improve your vocabulary as well comprehension. Most important keep you updated about current affairs. After developing this habit in 3-4 months.Start solving aptitude, then reasoning. In this way till you passed your third year you have not prepared yourself for civil servcies preliminary examination as well as for your placements

Everything should be done in a proper way and in a scheduled time then only it will going to benefit you in long run.Hope you undertsand my message and perform best in your semester with preparing towards civil service examination
